12/04/2026: I stumbled upon this little place by chance, while in the area, and I couldn't have made a better choice. The atmosphere is delightful and very welcoming, with a unique touch from the wooden tables and colorful chairs that instantly brighten up the atmosphere.
The staff is young, friendly, and very attentive. Moving on to the food: the menu is exceptional! I tried the first courses and they were truly delicious. The choice between the à la carte menu and the daily specials written on the blackboard was very much appreciated.
To top it off, don't miss the desserts and gelato: you can taste they're homemade, truly authentic. I highly recommend it. I'll definitely be back!

05/04/2026: Absolutely excellent! We stayed 10 days in Rome and Florence. We ate at restaurants every day. Grano was our best experience. The staff were very professional and friendly.
03/04/2026: The food was very good; everything we ordered was delicious. The service took a little longer than expected, but the place was packed, so that's understandable. The only thing we didn't like was that, despite having a reservation well in advance, the location where we dined wasn't the best.

The revisited Jewish-style artichokes with a special sauce were also excellent.
The rustic atmosphere was very nice... just a little noisy.
24/01/2026: We celebrated a birthday with 50 people here at Borgo del Cacchione and were very satisfied. The room reserved for us was very welcoming, the staff were extremely kind and attentive, and the dishes were exquisite (Roman specialties, meat, and excellent vegetarian options).
Everything went perfectly thanks to the team's professionalism and their attention to detail.

21/03/2026: Delicious pizza!!! The guy cuts a slice the size you want. He warms it up in the oven, and we get it to go. The dough is delicious, and the ingredients are fresh. 🙂 You can also eat it on site.

07/02/2026: Food was so tasty and prices are very cheap for this area, the staff was very kind too. I tried the one with pumpkin and it was very interesting but good. You should get a take away and eat it by the fountain in next street. Perfect vibe. I will come back again for sure
05/02/2026: The staff were very rude. I asked for help to figure out which pizza was which, and a guy wearing glasses was extremely rude and not helpful at all. We ended up leaving without buying any food. The atmosphere also didn’t look clean. I would ignore this place.

04/10/2025: It was nice to be able to eat anything on display! The cakes were nice, especially the filled cannelloni, but savoury wasn’t great. The rice balls were dry and the pizza slices weren’t very nice. Service was not very friendly and coffee was average. Glad we tried it, but wouldn’t return - we found a nicer gluten free bakery in Rome (with much nicer service).

Yet you always go to Ai Piani with the certainty of a wonderful evening.
An authentic and excellent selection of seafood, solid traditional cuisine, superb signature dishes, exquisite side dishes, a wine list designed by those who know how to drink, by connoisseurs (and not just to put on a show). Even the desserts are a treat. The staff is courteous and friendly.
In short, you can be a restaurant for the wealthy while still offering refined sincerity and a certain quality, even after many years of success.
Long live Ai Piani.
