We had a delicious meal. This is highly recommended, and the best part is… you get to eat with your hands 😀 We received good advice from the owner. The interior also matches the food. It's a shame they aren't located in the north of the Netherlands.

Authentic Eritrean and Ethiopian restaurant. Rich and sophisticated menu. I ate very well. The staff was attentive and courteous. I also found them very accommodating to vegetarian and gluten-free menu requests. Really fair prices. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious, the owner and staff were really friendly, the prices were fair, and the atmosphere was nice and informal. It was a lovely evening, I highly recommend it! :-)

Very nice place, friendly and welcoming staff. It was our first time trying Eritrean/Ethiopian cuisine and we were very pleased. I recommend it to anyone who wants to try this type of cuisine.

Small but welcoming and very relaxing. You're greeted by the staff's smiles and gentle voices, which instill serenity. The Eritrean and Ethiopian food is excellent, even for those who prefer vegetarian dishes. Fantastic injera, prepared and cooked on-site. Cinnamon tea, ginger coffee, and Ethiopian beer make the meal even more enjoyable. Very good value given the excellent quality of the food. An experience to repeat on your next Roman vacation.

21/04/2026: Gegè is my go-to place when I want something tasty and delicious. The fried foods are superb, and the pizza is truly delicious, well-seasoned and filling. I highly recommend it!
20/04/2026: Very good experience. The service is incredible and the person who served us was simply adorable. The value for money is exceptional. As I was just passing through, I went back several times, which I normally never do. I highly recommend it. Even for people who don’t eat meat, the choice is very wide. A big thank you for this exceptional welcome.

Tocco Ferro

21/03/2026: Tocco Ferro is a wonderful restaurant we went to while visiting family in the Trionfale neighborhood of Rome. There were six of us at dinner and all of the food was exceptional. The seafood was amazing. The owners were very gracious and welcoming and made us feel quite at home. While the restaurant is a little off the beaten path with a bit of construction currently, it is definitely worth the effort to find this gem!
21/03/2026: Most wonderful restaurant dining experience. Chef Andra stopped by to tell us her specials for the evening, and we ordered most of those- and it was incredible! 3 minute walk from the Vatican museum. Sadly hidden due to some construction on the street. Absolutely best meal we had in a week in Italy. Best antipasti: zucchini flowers stuffed with shrimp. Best pasta special - with house made fettuccine. Best secondi - the special for the night. A tuna tataki. Best tiramisu, made to order. Always special to get to talk with the chef at a restaurant of this caliber, and just so nice to get to tell her how wonderful the meal was.
