Absolute perfection! The pizza and lasagna here are beyond delicious, and the portions are super generous—we left completely satisfied. On top of that, the owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our dining experience even better. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and amazing hospitality!

We were in Rome for five days and accidentally found this place by Google Maps. Everyday we came to Che Pizza to our friend to try something else and everything we tried was great! Pizza is good, lasagna is soooo goood (best I have tried) and to be honest, we tried a lot of restaurants in Rome but were only NOT disappointed in Che Pizza (and Alfredo, but thats a different story) We made friends with these guys the minute we walked in and they waved us hello every time we passed by. Made us feel so welcome and nice. We were looking forward to pass by our friend and waving hello (and stopping for a snack while at it ) Big thanks guys! Ci vediamo!

I've been here with my family for the third time during our vacation. We ate here three times. We chose different pizzas: prociscitto, salami and margherita, and lasagna. All the dishes were incredibly tasty, filling, and very inexpensive compared to other places in the area. The second and third times, the owner even included Italian bread (similar to foccata) for free. I highly recommend it 🤩

The food is excellent, authentic Italian cuisine at a very good price. Furthermore, the owner is very attentive and tried his best to understand us despite the language difference. If I were to return to Rome, this is a place I would definitely visit again.

Great place for food! Incredibly delicious. Fast and friendly service. Always smiling and welcoming. While I was in Rome, I took food for me and my family from there for a few days. Everything was perfectly cooked, delicious and in a very good quantity. I recommend you visit and try it!

29/03/2026: A splendid property nestled in the Manziana forest, ideal for those seeking relaxation. The ambience is meticulously maintained. The cuisine focuses on the highest quality ingredients, offering excellent value. The flexibility in offering vegetarian menus is greatly appreciated, with delicious dishes from start to finish. The staff is exquisite and welcoming. Highly recommended.
16/03/2026: We booked at the last minute, choosing based on proximity to our location and also reading the reviews, and luckily there were still seats available. The food was excellent and different; I'd never had the truly delicious apple fritters. The fried appetizers were crispy and not soaked in oil, and everything else was delicious. The puff pastry casket with cavolo nero and speck was delicate yet delicious. Everything from the appetizer to the dessert was truly delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were friendly. We'll definitely be back.

07/08/2026: AYE DIOS MIO! Not only is this place good but it’s 100% gluten free! When traveling to Italy, the last thing on my mind was finding a Venezuelan restaurant, let alone one that was gluten free. No words can explain the amazingness coming out of El Maiz. The owner, Frank, was extremely knowledgeable, kind, patient, and respectful. He also had such a great humor and warmth that made our experience very memorable. The empanadas de pollo was out of this world! The tostones with cabbage and carrot slaw were extremely well seasoned and delicious. However, no mater what you get, you MUST get the tartara sauce. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Frank needs to bottle it up and sell it by the jar! To round off the meal, we had the flan and tres leches. I have not had tres leches since becoming gluten free. I had forgotten how amazing tres leches is. We loved it so much, we ordered more to take home. While it is not what you expect to eat while in Italy, it was the BEST meal I had in Rome. I am forever grateful to Frank and everyone at El Maiz for such an amazing meal and experience with fellow hispanos. I cannot recommend this place enough. Make sure you stop here on your next trip to Rome, especially if you are near the Vatican (only a 10 min walk from St. Peter’s Square)!
