18/02/2026: A very nice B&B. The room was small, there were three of us, but it was fine for one night. The room and bathroom were clean and had all the amenities. The breakfast was excellent. There's a lovely restaurant where you can have lunch or dinner, but I didn't use it. I definitely recommend this place for visiting the nearby Piacenza hills.

16/02/2026: A pleasant stay at the Mathis Hotel, run by welcoming staff. The rooms are modern and well-maintained, and there's the convenience of on-site parking. In the evening, the bar is bustling, perfect for an aperitif before a business dinner. Highly recommended.

26/02/2026: An elegant place, also perfect for special occasions. Attentive, friendly, and never intrusive service. Traditional Piacenza cuisine revisited, carefully crafted, and carefully sourced with local ingredients. Coming here is a culinary treat.

02/02/2026: A very charming traditional trattoria, with fresh, handmade food and truly delicious dishes. Very fast and efficient service. The owners are friendly and welcoming. It was a great find, and I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

15/03/2026: A very well-maintained restaurant in the city center. The food was excellent, we tried dishes from Piacenza. The staff was young, friendly, and attentive. The dining room was also lovely for a dinner with your partner. Must try!

14/03/2026: We tried the restaurant for lunch. The tagliatelle and tagliata were excellent. The semifreddo was worth trying. It should be chosen just for Merlino's courtesy and friendliness. I'll be back.

13/03/2026: A true classic for Castel d'Aiano. The hotel is affordable but clean and more than decent. The restaurant is phenomenal. It's just a shame that almost nothing remains in Castel d'Aiano, so it's recommended for everyone, but only for short stays or longer stays for older people who want to escape the summer heat of the city during the warmest months.

03/01/2026: We stopped for lunch and it was a wonderful discovery! The crostini with chicken livers, porcini mushrooms, and truffles were delicious, and the truffle was real truffle! For our first course, we had pappardelle with porcini mushrooms, lasagna with truffles, pappardelle with wild boar, and cappelletti in broth: all truly delicious. We couldn't help but finish with excellent coffee and homemade desserts (all homemade!). For five of us, with two bottles of water and a half of wine, it was €21 each! The waitress was friendly and very helpful.

22/02/2026: We were here on Valentine's Day evening. It's a beautiful, welcoming place with an intimate atmosphere. The staff who served us were knowledgeable and courteous. The food was good, but unfortunately the entrees arrived lukewarm, probably because it was so crowded. The price was fair (the website isn't up to date, though).

17/01/2026: I'll start by saying that Edo was my family's favorite Japanese restaurant... but I have to say that after today's lunch experience I don't think I'll ever set foot there again... after several months I went back to have lunch at this restaurant with my family and I immediately noticed that the staff had totally changed and I have to say significantly less polite... but let's start from the beginning, we arrived 5 minutes late (notifying them) and I was told that if we were to be a few more minutes late they would give away the table... we sat down at the table and after 10 minutes they asked us to move (ok) we ordered and after 15 minutes (around 1:00 pm) they brought us all the dishes together, so many that we couldn't even fit on the table, apart from the quality which in my opinion has decreased compared to last year, we ate many of the hot dishes by now cold... but as they say family lunch, you can ignore everything, but the waiter who came to the table at 2:00 pm when my girls were still eating and told us that we had to leave the table immediately because he needed it and that what's left on the table, put it in a bag and we can take it away... no, that's not okay... considering that they all took 16.80 per person plus service charge and drinks... I'm sorry but I find it a serious lack of respect towards the customer... I hope they change their mindset because the restaurant itself deserved it.

19/02/2026: I went with my partner for my birthday dinner, and it was excellent. The staff are young but very knowledgeable and make you feel at ease, unlike other Michelin-starred restaurants where the service has been too cold. We chose the six-course Ikigay menu, where Salvatore and his staff took us on a journey into the metaverse. Congratulations to everyone.

02/03/2026: We were looking for a typical restaurant that exudes Italian atmosphere and, above all, its cuisine. We were absolutely not disappointed by Marsalino, a small restaurant where we received a very warm welcome and excellent service. The two waiters were delightful and very cheerful. As for the food, the ravioli with gorgonzola were delicious, as were the ones with walnuts. I highly recommend it!

10/02/2026: The waitress wasn't unpleasant...more than that! She even waved us over to get the empty bread basket!!! A favor? Annoying, unfriendly attitude! I feel sorry for the owners, because overall the place and the food aren't bad! Change jobs, you're not good at interacting with people!
