27/09/2025: Today marks the end of our third vacation at this fantastic hotel. We're not really repeat visitors, but we wanted to come back. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, and the rooms are very nice. The outdoor area with its heated pool and whirlpool leaves nothing to be desired. The view of the Sciliar is fantastic. The warmth was not lost; we arrived and immediately felt at home. Keep up the good work, dear Ramona, Armin, and the rest of the wonderful team at the Hotel Ortler. We say "goodbye," because never say never 👍🏻🤗 ‐‐------------------------------------------------------- Our second vacation at this hotel, with once again great hospitality, delicious food (the chef cooks himself), and a family atmosphere. The hotel is in a great location for hikes around the Sciliar or even for long motorcycle tours. It wasn't our last time there. Thank you, Trocker family, for a wonderful vacation.

15/10/2025: Good restaurant with well-prepared dishes. Service was a bit slow; several minutes passed before I was seated at my table, with waiters walking past me without even saying hello.

12/10/2025: The hotel boasts a perfect location for excursions to the Salto and Bolzano, with stunning views. Guided hikes with transfers are offered twice a week, for example, to the Schlern, Eppan, and the Sarntal Valley. These excursions are highly recommended. The hotel, which offers excellent quality of stay, is run by two sisters, Maria and Petra. Another sister, Ulrike, is in service. The head chef is female: this, as they themselves call it, "women's economy," is extremely beneficial for the company, the staff, and the guests. There is no staff turnover and many regular guests. Vegetarians will love the hotel. The cuisine is far ahead of its time for South Tyrol. Gourmets will also be well catered for: Michelin green stars, Fallstaff, and others attest to the consistently excellent cuisine. An extensive wine list, including organic wines, is rare for South Tyrol. Even those on a tight budget will find something to suit their budget: a glass of Pinot Blanc from the renowned traditional Rottensteiner winery costs €1.60, and a St. Magdalener from their own vineyard costs €2.40—where else can you find that! Overall, the value for money is excellent. Locals use the bar in the evenings and the restaurant for lunch, which alone shows that the Hirsch is one of the very best recommendations for Bolzano and the surrounding area.

05/01/2024: Uno dei pochi locali aperti per una cioccolata e due fette di torta buone e abbondanti. Non mi ritrovo nelle recensioni negative che pure ho letto prima di entrare in questo piccolo caffè: sicuramente atmosfera retrò ma nessuno è stato scortese e il conto è in linea con i prezzi locali e adeguato a ciò che abbiamo perso.
