Beautiful restaurant with an amazing menu. Also the staff is super friendly and obliging 👍🏼 The atmosphere is a mix of modernity and the middle ages.

As a philosopher said .... to know a place well you have to eat it .... And at the Porte di Bacco this happens ..... Upon arrival you will immediately know the friendliness, the smile and the kindness that distinguishes the people of place, truly cheerful people who accompany your days, to arrive at the food prepared with care and research of exaltation of the local dishes... the pici are truly top and end in amazement in tasting the suckling pig... what can I say... go and you won't regret it... What can I say about this restaurant, for me the top. The quality of the wines is very high, the food is not even up for debate, I had a very rewarding experience, I didn't just have lunch.

Osteria all'ingresso del centro storico di Montepilciano. Locale molto accattivante e caratteristico con arcate in mattonato e pareti in pietra. Enoteca annessa da cui attingere per la scelta del vino da accompagnare al pasto con consiglio del sommelier. Tagliere super nella quantità e nella qualità (per 2 ma è sufficiente anche per 3/4 persone). Pici con funghi porcini (fuori menù) strepitosi così come quelli al ragù. Delizioso anche il tiramisù. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Servizio genuino, disponibile e simpatico.

Una vera porta al mondo di Bacco! In questo locale molto raffinato il vino di qualità ed il suo essere consigliato e servito nel miglior modo possibile, la fa da padrona. Il nobile di Montepulciano servito in calici stupendi, così belli e delicati da rompersi alla sola vista, fanno da contorno ad una cena composta da ottime portate. Si parte con una piccola entree di benvenuto e ci si tuffa nel mondo dei pici in tutte le sue sfumature, quelli all'aglione erano sensazionali! Buonissimi anche gli gnocchi al ragù toscano con crema di aglio nero. Ho apprezzato moltissimo anche il carrè d'agnello servito con le verdurine di stagione, presentato in maniera eccellente e saporitissimo. Lo staff è cordiale, gentile e disponibile. L'unica nota un pochino stonata sono i tempi d'attesa abbastanza lunghi ed i prezzi un po' sopra la media. A parer mio 8 euro per un calice di Nobile, seppur servito nel migliore dei modi, è davvero caretto. Da veronese ed amante del vino, con quel prezzo si possono tranquillamente trovare vini superiori alla mescita quale un Brunello di Montalcino, un Amarone od un Barolo, tanto per citarne alcuni.
