Bar Osteria La Pievina In Asciano

We spontaneously tried this fantastic osteria. Highly recommended! Homemade pici, delicious secondi, and the dessert was simply divine… very friendly hosts! We hadn't made a reservation, but since we arrived early, we got the only table that wasn't reserved. It was a real treat and a pleasure to eat there! The location right on the road wasn't a problem at all, as there was very little traffic. The trip is definitely worth it! Highly recommended.

A historic venue, under new management since spring, the menu offers fewer dishes than the previous one, but the quality and authenticity remain the same.

The place is nice and the street isn't very busy. The ingredients are good, and finally someone cooks instead of the pre-made dishes that have been used in restaurants for years. The tortellini are excellent, but in my opinion, a little pricey. Three tortelli cost €12, and I would have put them at €4 or €10, my personal opinion. For dessert, we had a tart, which was delicious, and they made it. Again, I would have probably paid €5 instead of €6, since it's a bar-restaurant after all. The owners are friendly, and the waitresses are very attentive and quick.

We had dinner at La Pievina and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, the service was attentive and meticulous, and the staff were extremely friendly. A truly pleasant experience, one we'd like to repeat and recommend, and one that left us with wonderful memories. Barbara and Roberto

From hand-rolled first courses, like classic Sienese pici, to meats cooked with rare mastery, each course is a tribute to tradition, ennobled with a touch of contemporary elegance that never betrays its origins. Hospitality: Alberto and Elena The owners, represented by Alberto and Elena, are the soul of this place. Their management is characterized by an old-fashioned courtesy and infectious passion. Alberto welcomes guests with a warmth that makes them feel immediately at home, demonstrating a care and availability (always "courteous" and attentive) that create a convivial and relaxed atmosphere. Elena, with her discreet but essential presence, ensures that everything flows with natural perfection, taking care of the harmony of the room. A special thanks to Elda who, with her smile and her kindness, made us feel truly at home.

Friendly and courteous staff. Frequented by local Sienese customers. We didn't have lunch, but the dishes were inviting and reasonably priced.

What can I say? Management has changed and the quality has risen significantly! Exceptional chef, superb food, from the Cinta Senese to the local porcini mushrooms and the specials of the day. Friendly, attentive, and fast service. Highly recommended!

Twenty-four years after our first meeting, we returned to celebrate our wedding anniversary at this very restaurant. The owners are new, but the flavors remain authentic, and the dishes are of excellent quality. Thanks to Elena and Alberto and their staff!
