We were here two times and will definitely come again. The food is excellent, the service super friendly, and prices are very reasonable. Try the lemon risotto!

This tavern is located in the heart of Sarteano's main square, a quaint, ancient village where the atmosphere of yesteryear, the good old days, reigns supreme. The restaurant itself is small, with just a few tables, warm, welcoming, and almost intimate. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and Lavigna is a sweet, very professional, attentive, and committed to providing quality service. The local dishes are simply fabulous. The handmade pasta with Cinta Senese sausage and white truffle cream is a must-try, as are the handmade pici with Val di Chiana garlic. Local wines complement everything beautifully and pleasantly. Highly recommended.

We had dinner there during the holidays and will definitely be back. Good food, small and charming atmosphere. The pici all'aglione and tagliatelle ai funghi were amazing! A word of advice: make a reservation!!!

04/04/2026: Don't go if you're in a hurry. It's a gem in the city of Siena that demands its time, that demands slow tourism. Angelo is a unique character, with a great passion for his work, for the quality of his ingredients, and a radical vision of his profession. Don't ask him to change the sandwiches on the menu by removing ingredients you don't like; he'd consider it an affront. Instead, trust his creativity; he'll be happy to accommodate you. The sandwiches are out of this world, among the best I've ever eaten in my life. But be patient—he's the only one handling the cash register, cooking, and cleaning the place—because the wait for your sandwich can be long, even with just a few customers (sometimes over an hour). The prices are fair; €10-15 will leave you full.

08/03/2026: Quiet and convivial atmosphere, typical of Tuscany. Stunning views of the Siena/Pisa hills. Excellent service, very friendly and attentive. Excellent food and generous portions. Recommended! It's just a shame they don't have draft beer...
