We were here two times and will definitely come again. The food is excellent, the service super friendly, and prices are very reasonable. Try the lemon risotto!
Update: We came back. Basically every day they have open for almost two weeks. I think anyone will have a hard time to find a better place to eat in the area.

I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant and was truly satisfied. The food is delicious, with attention to detail and authentic flavors that are immediately apparent upon first bite.
The restaurant is small but very welcoming, with an intimate atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at ease. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and attentive—qualities that truly make the difference.
Plus, it's right in Sarteano's main square, so the location is perfect: after dinner, it's wonderful to stroll through the town streets.
I absolutely recommend it; I'll definitely be back!

This tavern is located in the heart of Sarteano's main square, a quaint, ancient village where the atmosphere of yesteryear, the good old days, reigns supreme. The restaurant itself is small, with just a few tables, warm, welcoming, and almost intimate. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and Lavigna is a sweet, very professional, attentive, and committed to providing quality service. The local dishes are simply fabulous. The handmade pasta with Cinta Senese sausage and white truffle cream is a must-try, as are the handmade pici with Val di Chiana garlic. Local wines complement everything beautifully and pleasantly. Highly recommended.
