13/08/2026: We came here for a wine tasting as a group of 7 friends and it was fantastic. Really tasty wine and Tuscan boards and the tour of the fermentation cellar was insightful and fun.

12/08/2026: A pastry shop with a great selection of food and drinks (hence the 4 stars).
Unfortunately, there aren't any nice seats outside, and the interior isn't very inviting either. During our visit, the service was okay but not particularly friendly. Perhaps that was due to the extreme heat?

07/05/2026: Beautiful country hotel at the foot of the village of Montefollonico. Just a short distance from Pienza and Montepulciano. Spacious, carefully furnished rooms. Excellent restaurant and beautiful pool. Perfect for a relaxing holiday in the heart of Tuscany. We also had a fun cooking class on traditional Pici.
18/04/2026: It's "my" restaurant for special occasions. Even though I go there often, I still can't find a single flaw. Must try.

20/06/2026: Five nights here. A beautiful, stylish and well curated property. A very comfortable bed with excellent linen in a large room with efficient air conditioning.
The pool and surrounds are spacious and serene. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier. It is a 2km (uphill) walk into Siena, but we did it every day.
The small chapel on the hill and the chapel inside the hotel were unexpected treats and well worth seeing. The restaurant is highly rated, but we preferred simpler fare in town.
We could have lounged around the pool and read books for another month with no regrets.

We stayed at La Certosa di Maggiano in March and absolutely loved it. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to one of the suites, which made the stay feel even more special. The room was beautiful, very quiet, and clean.
The whole place has a really special atmosphere. The cloister is magical, especially very early in the morning. Service was careful and attentive throughout, but never too much. Breakfast was excellent, with local products. We also had dinner there one night (make sure to make a reservation in advance because they have just a few seats).
The place is also an easy walk into the centre of Siena, which made everything very convenient.
A really memorable stay.

09/08/2026: We had a very delicious meal. The service could have been a bit friendlier. The owner, however, was very friendly. We had tagliata and lamb, both very tasty, as were the warm vegetables. Having eaten at about five restaurants here so far, this was definitely in the top 3.
05/08/2026: We stopped by chance and ate a tagliata with fresh porcini mushrooms, which was excellent, even though the meat wasn't cooked to our liking. Considering we only ordered one dish, accompanied by a bottle of unregistered classic method sparkling wine, I'd say the price is quite high, even for such a quality product.

09/05/2026: Wonderful family operated pizzeria. Excellent food...mom is in the kitchen, Dad is helping, and the son is serving. The pizzas are delicious and plentiful. We went back again given the warm service and excellent food. Right at the entrance to old town Montipulciano. Highly recommend.

14/08/2026: We had a delicious meal!! Especially the tortellini with truffle. The central square for dining is nice, but because it was already fully booked, we ate in the backyard. This was also very pleasant, with a view of the wall. It had a sliding roof and a nice cooling fan.
A quiet and very friendly village.

22/07/2026: The decor is beautiful, and the food is delicious. We tried the local pasta (pici) prepared in several ways, and we absolutely loved the Tuscan ragù. We also highly recommend the chef's daily pasta special, as it changes regularly and is always a delightful surprise. The service was superb; we'll definitely be back.
23/06/2026: Great little find in the town. We did the pasta making class with Angela and she was the best! We went back for dinner twice. Great menu and atmosphere, and very friendly staff, with lots of laughs. Felt like home.
