03/05/2026: I can say we had a good time, not just a good one. The owner was professional and kind. We had excellent crostoni and sausage. Various first courses were excellent, the pasta was homemade. For our second course, we had fried chicken with zucchini flowers. It was truly excellent, crispy and well-fried. My husband had a sliced ​​steak. That was also excellent. And to finish, three desserts: the bonet and the deconstructed cannoli, truly sublime. House wine and water were also included. What more can I say? Keep up the good work. Thank you ❤️

13/05/2026: This place is a gem. We were horrible tourists: arriving 15 min before closing, accidentally ordering red vs white wine and they had to switch the wine for us, we didn’t speak Italian, we were in a rush, saying no to the bread (we’ve had so much we couldn’t take more). And despite all this, they were so kind and the food was so good and there was only one euro per person charged for eating in (normally at least 3 in touristy areas). Wine was a great deal at 6.50 per half litre and was super tasty. The pasta was perfect. We had the cacio e pepe and the wild boar tagliatelle. Divine. I would have stayed to try the desserts but we didn’t have time. Thank you, Osteria Da Gano, for an amazing lunch we won’t forget soon!

Highly recommended, even for locals. PS: The house wine, even the Riserva version, isn't the best, although it's attractively priced.

07/05/2026: We dined at this restaurant two consecutive nights, as we stayed for two nights in the farmhouse on the first floor of the building. What can I say? We left our hearts there!!!! Let's start with the staff: professional, kind, willing to satisfy all guests' requests... a special mention goes to Francesca: very young, but already very talented, friendly, knowledgeable... and she was able to recommend excellent wine and food! Food: well, what can I say... we tried most of the dishes on the menu and I really couldn't rank them: every dish makes you want to order it again next time, from the appetizers, to the first courses, to the Florentine steak and the grill... not to mention the desserts!!! Location: the restaurant has a spacious veranda from which you can admire a wonderful sunset. Prices: fair, very fair. I can say that the prices at this restaurant are very low, especially considering that all the ingredients are of excellent quality. The owner gave us two complimentary bottles (one per couple) of their own wine. A much-appreciated gesture. In short, I can't wait to return to Valserena!!!!

All excellent with a wonderful recommendation of a bottle of Vernaccia di San Giminigno Reserva wine. Shout out to all visitors in Siena, this place is totally not a tourist trap. Just love every dish from the beginning til the end.
