07/09/2025: I've been to this restaurant/pizzeria several times, and it's become one of my favorite places to have dinner and spend a pleasant evening. The pizza is the best I've ever had in the Poggibonsi area. Crispy, huge, light, and delicious! I could eat it every day. It's a shame I don't live in Poggibonsi, but I love coming here. I love it, and not just for special occasions, which is perfect. The refined and romantic atmosphere, every detail made with such care and love, are just perfect. The owners are very kind. They're pet-friendly, which is much appreciated. For me, it's the number one restaurant in Poggibonsi!

02/09/2025: We stayed at Dievole Wine Resort for a week during our honeymoon in Italy and it was a dream. The property was breathtaking with the vineyards, olive trees and lavender. We were able to walk the nature trail all the way to the lookout and see the wide expanse of Dievole. We spent every morning having a lovely breakfast in the garden that included a delicious traditional Tuscan spread. It was the perfect slow start to our day. The pool was another of our favorite aspects of the property. It was so peaceful to sit in the sun with a book and take in the sprawling hills. It was also nice to have service at the pool, and we took advantage of the poolside spritzes! Lunch and dinner are also offered, and we spent one of our evenings at Ristorante Novecento and were impressed by the service, quality and authenticity. We ordered the Florentine steak and it was perfectly cooked. We also were able to take advantage of the different wine and olive oil experiences offered on property. We came to Chianti to spend the week wine tasting and Dievole was one of our top tasting and tour experiences. It was so interesting to learn about the history of the property and the wine and see the wine making process in real time. The wine itself was a standout and we ended up taking home a few bottles. Another highlight was our room and the terrace outside. We spent every night sitting overlooking the vineyards at sunset with a glass of wine. The views were incomparable. Finally, we would be remiss not to mention the dedication and accommodation of the staff. Everyone we met and interacted with was so sweet and helpful. Upon arrival we were given a tour and brought to our room, our luggage was delivered to our room promptly and then we were personally delivered a bottle of wine to celebrate our honeymoon. It was such a warm welcome and that energy persisted all week. Dievole was an absolute haven and we would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Chianti.

30/08/2025: We had a wonderful time in this lovely trattoria. We were warmly welcomed, the lady who served us was very friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The charcuterie and cheese platter is generous and served with some jams; it was delicious! For the main course, we had the daily special, which was truffle taglioni. And again: it was delicious 👌👌

The service from all the staff is outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Everywhere you look, whether from the restaurant, bar, pool, or relaxation areas, the views are breathtaking. The rooms are immaculately appointed, blending comfort and style to create an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. The menus and food deserve special mention as well—delicious, beautifully presented, and perfectly paired with the surroundings. What a joy it was to stay here. Certosa di Maggiano truly offers an unforgettable Tuscan experience.

04/09/2025: Amazing hotel and historic building (built in 13th century). It used to be a monastery and was converted into a hotel. It still has an old church that is operating and you can visit. The whole feel is like you’ve been transported to a 1850’s five star hotel. Service is second to none. Highly recommended.

12/09/2025: I can't rate the food at all. Because they simply didn't let us try it. We were simply turned away, without even a suggestion that we wait for the next table. We had gone based on the very positive reviews, but the owner (or at least what I believe was the owner behind the counter) gave us a firm no when we asked for availability (for two people), saying that the restaurant was fully booked. Now, when we showed up, there was no one there (except for a small group of people in the other room)... the restaurant was completely deserted, with no reservation signs on the tables. What struck my companion and I was the fact that they usually offer to return later and/or give a time, which was absolutely not an option with us. The restaurant was full. That's it. But what really shocked us was the fact that there were four other people behind us (two couples) who were instead waved through with the phrase "You called... you called right?" and didn't even give them time to answer. That they hadn't called was clear from the expression on one of the girls' faces, who looked surprised and laughed, saying yes. They hadn't called, but maybe they just liked them more than us. I'm sorry we were treated this way based on I don't know what. Of course, it's his restaurant and he does what he wants, but a little politeness in explaining to people why they're not welcome guests (because clearly we weren't welcome guests) would certainly have made a difference.

04/09/2025: I don't usually write long reviews, but this one deserves it! Last August, while we were wandering around the beautiful Chianti hills on our motorcycles, hungry and a bit late (3:30 PM), we checked Google for a restaurant open and found that this one was open all day (8:00 AM - 11:00 PM 😳). We went in, parked our bikes, took off our riding gear, and after about ten minutes of wandering around the place looking for someone to welcome us (we even entered what appeared to be an abandoned bar), we were "greeted" by a gentleman of Indian ethnicity. Although he didn't look like one, based on his manner and the fact that he was the only human being we encountered in the place, we presumed he was the owner. In an unclear language and with a rude manner, he ordered us to remove our bikes from the (empty) parking lot, which the guy defined as "just a car." We parked outside and entered the square, and the same "guy" told us that the restaurant was closed and would open at 5:30 PM (he could have told us earlier!) We pointed out what Google said about the opening hours, but he shrugged and mumbled something incomprehensible, concluding with "open scinquimezza." Okay, shall we wait and have a glass of wine at the bar? (The sign outside the gate says BAR/restaurant) NO!!!!! The bar is closed too!! ("noscicameriere" we were told). Not knowing what to do, intrigued by the reviews we'd read about the restaurant, and also because it was getting comical and we wanted to see how ridiculous it would get, we asked if it was possible to reserve and were told "noscinissuno." Okay, we'll try our luck later, so we decide to visit the nearby town (eating a sandwich) and give the place a chance, returning for dinner after "scinquimezza," when "sci" someone. We returned and parked OUTSIDE (the parking lot was still half empty). The restaurant wasn't very crowded (I think I suspect why!!). Fortunately, there was no sign of the "owner/parker." A kind young woman sat us in a nice spot under the trees, and we finally had dinner. A mediocre dinner: average first courses (on the small side in terms of portions), and the meat was a bit tough even though well-cooked. Good wine. Fast service, very nice location. Normal prices. The three stars are for the dinner, as this is a platform for reviewing the restaurant, but the welcome we received deserved less than one star. In 90% of these (rustic) establishments, customers, especially motorcyclists, are welcomed with open arms. There are a lot of us (motorcyclists), and the owner should remember that parked motorcycles attract other bikers! And a crowded place attracts more people, which is always needed to keep going. Having the privilege of owning a restaurant in a splendid location isn't enough to be successful; much more is needed, think about it! I also advise the "owner/parking attendant" to change the opening hours on Google (it takes 5 minutes!) because people move based on what they read. Furthermore, the Lord should learn to communicate with customers in a more courteous way and, since he is fortunate enough to run a business in our "beautiful country," he should have the decency to learn the language!

19/08/2025: Delicious gelato with a wide selection and high quality. The gelato cakes are also excellent, and I recommend trying them along with the traditional Bacio di Siena.

31/07/2025: Excellent gelateria just steps from the center of Siena. I had a cake made for a graduation. I was very satisfied. Aside from the very kind gentleman who served me. The cake was pistachio and fior di latte. Really good. Everyone loved it. The decoration was also very beautiful. Fair prices. I will definitely return if I ever find myself in Siena again.

13/09/2025: If I could give the place more, I would. We were walking on a nearby street, smelled the onions and garlic, followed the smell… Found ourselves overseeing the best view. Ordered Pici - typical for Siane, melts in our mouths. The server is super kind, the wine is delish…what can I say more? Go, no doubts.
