La Trattoria In Montepulciano

The decor is beautiful, and the food is delicious. We tried the local pasta (pici) prepared in several ways, and we absolutely loved the Tuscan ragù. We also highly recommend the chef's daily pasta special, as it changes regularly and is always a delightful surprise. The service was superb; we'll definitely be back.

Great little find in the town. We did the pasta making class with Angela and she was the best! We went back for dinner twice. Great menu and atmosphere, and very friendly staff, with lots of laughs. Felt like home.

The pici and tagliatelle with truffles are delicious. The sirloin is top notch!

Small restaurant at the edge of town. Excellent food and impeccable service.

A lunch with friends, enlivened by the presence of our four-legged friends, in a welcoming atmosphere. The quality of the dishes was excellent: the lamb chops, in particular, were sublime and expertly cooked. The appetizers—a rich platter of artichokes and a delicate vegetable flan—reached the heights of absolute delicacy, and the desserts were equally delicious. All this was accompanied by an excellent Montepulciano DOCG, recommended by the owner/waiter.

I stumbled upon this small but welcoming restaurant in Montepulciano. The staff are friendly and attentive. The traditional dishes are excellent, including the Florentine steak and the pici pasta, both with and without sauce. The portions are generous and the prices are fair for the quality of the ingredients. Our table was outside, and we enjoyed it because it wasn't crowded, but that can be a problem if there are a lot of tourists in high season. I recommend booking inside.

Kept waiting for a table for 30 minutes after being told it would be 10, as we watched waiters walk past empty tables that just needed a quick clean to be made available for us. Once seated, we were ignored unless we waved to get their attention. Surprisingly very quick to bring the bill after all that.

Had the pici pasta with the classico Tuscan ragu and a local rosé - excellent. Nice ristorante, good location with shaded outside seating. Not fancy, but good food and wine at fair cost.

I had such a fun pasta-making class at this restaurant! The instructor was great, very patient and engaging, and made the whole experience enjoyable and easy to follow. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming too. It was a wonderful experience, and I loved learning how to make fresh pasta from scratch. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun activity and delicious food!

Ended up here spontaneously and were lucky enough to get a table for dinner. Great and welcoming service on point to feel comfortable. Menu offers all you need for a full Italien dinner with an amazing vegetable cake for starters (absolutely must try). Great pasta and sauce - tasted so much better than many touristy places. Many thanks - we gladly come back.
