I would give this 10 stars if I could! Just had the best stay. Perfect three days! Beautiful property! The decor is on point, charming and whimsical. The food among the best we ate in Italy. The staff set a new high bar for customer service even before we arrived and throughout our visit. It felt like saying goodbye to family when we left. Concierge Michelle helped us to plan outstanding dinners, Paola at the front desk enthusiastically welcomed us and provided great service throughout. Faith at the pool was a bright, warm host. And the evening bartender was not only expert in mixology - asking our preferred flavor profiles before suggesting drink variations- but also in Siena history. Great ambassadors of La Certosa, Siena, and Italy one and all!

I won’t be able to do this hotel justice with just this review but here we go. The moment we arrived at Certosa Di Maggiano everything was perfect, the attention to detail with every inch of the hotel is perfection, the staff are attentive but not pushy, they make you feel welcomed and like family. We need to give a special shout out to the sommelier Riccardo, Lou on the front desk and the Albanian waiter whose name escapes me. Every member of the team were amazing but these three really made our stay great. The rooms, outdoor spaces, the food, the drinks and the vibes in this hotel are perfect. It’s such a romantic space and it never felt overcrowded or busy. It was just the right level of intimate. We came away from here knowing that we will be back again. It’s a special place.

The perfect place to stay in Tuscany. Spectacular in every way. It has its own church.

We booked a table for dinner. We went on Easter Sunday evening and ordered the seafood tasting menu. The place was beautiful, the ambiance fantastic, and the food delicious. After dinner, our waiter, Antonio, gave us a short tour of the restaurant and its common areas. The service was amazing throughout the evening, and we were very satisfied with our experience. It's a shame we didn't have a room in the hotel and couldn't enjoy the pool. We will definitely be back, next time for the full experience... Thank you so much for everything!

Tempted to leave it all and move to Certosa. Would you guys take me as a permanent guest?! 😂 I mean… five stars isn’t high enough, is it? I wish I could leave ten. This place will live in my memory forever, especially as I go back home and sit in boring meetings about lawsuits. Anyway, Certosa is a dream come true. If you’re going to pick a hotel to spend the rest of your life at, look no further. The grounds are gorgeous, a storybook, a movie scene. From the pool to the hidden church in the corner of the property, it’s just so good. Too good. My sister asked “is this place real?” when we arrived — a fair question. Now to the best part — the staff are genuinely the best people, even helping get my dad medical attention when he needed it, so attentive, caring, and kind. I can’t say enough about these people. They made the stay what it was. Would come back just to see them!! They are gems! The food is amazing (the breakfast room is so cool) and the drinks are basically magic. All of San Francisco has nothing on the Certosa bar. The rooms are really cool as well. Genuinely the most perfect hotel. They just do it right here! Hopefully one day I’ll make it back… but until then I guess I’ll just think about it. Also — the music they play is A+. Had to make my own Spotify playlist to take back home with me. And if you’re still thinking about booking it, don’t think anymore, just do it.

I wish I could give them 10 stars. This is an absolutely stunning property. This is true luxury with high standards of service. You can tell they take immense pride in customer service and it shows. The food was delicious breakfast and dinner were a delight. My room was stunning. I did not want to leave. It was worth every penny. Thank you to the entire staff for making our wedding anniversary so special. It was a 10 out of 10. Parking was easy here. Driving there can be a little scary due to narrow roads. But aside from that it was fantastic.

An old monastery converted into a hotel located on the outskirts of Siena, highly recommended. The hotel has been nicely renovated, both the interior and exterior areas (although we stayed there in December, so we would love to return at another time to also enjoy the garden more fully). The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast is buffet-style and very complete, with a very detailed decoration and layout (the only detail that I think could be avoided would be the issue of charging separately if you want an omelette or avocado, since I think the price of the room is higher in high season). One of the nights we stayed for dinner at the hotel, the food was traditional Tuscan with a modern touch, it was good even though the prices were high. One of the best things about the hotel has also been the staff, they have been very attentive and friendly, recommending routes, restaurants and experiences that we loved and have helped us with everything we needed. For us the location has been unbeatable, as it has been our accommodation to visit various towns and make excursions in Tuscany, as it is not in the center of Siena you have easy access and leave the car in its parking lot, but at the same time as you are in a secluded area and surrounded by nature you are 6 minutes by car from one of the parking lots in Siena to be able to explore the city or go for dinner. We are very happy and we cannot recommend it more if you can come!

We had the great fortune to stay at Cerosa di Maggiano in late September 2025. The property was absolutely lovely and our room was very well appointed. There was a wonderful full restaurant overlooking an inside courtyard which was lovely and the food was excellent. From the moment we arrived to the time left we were blown away by the service. If we could have rated it 10 stars we would have. The best way I can describe it is we were treated like family in a very professional manner. Our every request was met graciously. Our favorite server from the bar, Ricardo, made sure we were well looked after and even shared his homemade limoncello with us. We would not hesitate to stay agin or recommend the hotel to anyone.

An old monastery dating back to the year 1300, surrounded by history, tasteful decor, and very kind and polite staff. The breakfast was exceptional. We loved it!!! Congratulations to the whole team!
