13/05/2025: I could really feel the subtle discrimination. Even though we were the first to arrive, they didn't even make eye contact, and after taking the orders from other tables, they came to take our orders. They didn't give us anything that was on the table. After we finished eating, when I asked for a receipt in English (I live in an English-speaking country), they pretended not to understand five times, etc. Hehe. The food was really delicious. I think it'll be popular with the locals. :)

14/03/2025: Situato all'interno delle mura di questo carinissimo borgo, era un negozio di alumentari gestito dal signor Giovannino, è stato trasformato (con successo, direi) in un locale che offre uno splendido e azzeccato spaccato della cucina locale. Noi eravamo già stati un paio di anni prima e, visto il bel ricordo, abbiam voluto tornare : ne siamo stati appagati ! L' assortimento di salumi e formaggi di ottima qualità, 🧀🍖 i pici e la ribollita pure, 🍝 la fiorentina (l' abbiamo chiesta "contenuta" per non scoppiare, vista la generosità delle porzioni precedenti) molto tenera 🥩 e gustosa, anche se l' avremmo preferita più al sangue (a dire il vero i titolari si erano offerti di ritirarla e sostituirla ma lo avremmo considerato uno spreco). Il vino, della casa, ottimo ; il servizio, di questi veraci tifosi della Viola, molto caloroso e sumpatico. A noi piace così

13/05/2025: Great authentic restraunt! The staff was super friendly and helped explain the menu to my sister and i. We ordered the Pici and the Chicken and they both were amazing 10/10 would recommend!

09/06/2025: Passing through Siena and attracted by the many positive reviews, we stopped for lunch. The place was half empty and there were at least 5 guys at work in total. After standing still like two idiots for at least 10 minutes, a guy told one of the two girls present to let us sit down. We waited for a menu that was slow in arriving, not realizing that on the table there is a QR code to see what the place offers directly from the website. Once we chose what to eat we waited for someone to decide to come to us to take the order. Nothing. Finally, after almost half an hour, a guy passes by, we stop him and order (otherwise, we probably would have been there all along). Luckily the schiacciate arrived quickly, too bad they were only stuffed in the middle; all around there was only schiacciate ( too ) reheated and empty. Good, for goodness sake, but only in the central part and, honestly, for 10 euros a piece, they seemed a bit expensive, especially after seeing videos on Instagram where you could see something completely different. A little more attention to the customer and a little more substance in the schiacciate wouldn't hurt

18/05/2025: We came upon this fabulous restaurant by chance. I would like to start with the fact that the owner and server was outstanding with his recommendations. He was spot on with everything from wine selection to dessert. I am a tiramisu connoisseur and will tell you if you like tiramisu like I do, you must give it a try. The food is wonderful and the Menu changes periodically.

06/05/2025: A restaurant with a crazy view. As soon as I entered, they offered me a glass of sparkling wine on the vineyard terrace... That glass of wine was the best moment of my trip to Italy. When you order wine from Palazzo Vecchio, there is a picture of the winery on the label. It's fun to compare because you can see the winery on the hill out of the restaurant window.

26/05/2025: For me, Antica Trattoria in Colle di Val d'Elsa is the epitome of an excellent restaurant in Tuscany. Eating at this restaurant is like 'eating like God in Italy'. The menu features a variety of typical Tuscan dishes that you rarely find elsewhere. The ribollita is the best between Florence and Siena, and Enrico's tartare is impressively refined. The entire menu is accompanied by wines of the highest quality. Everything about this restaurant is just right. It has a cozy atmosphere and friendly service, and sometimes the setting makes you feel as if you're in one of Federico Fellini's best films. Enrico and Luciana Paradisi, along with their daughter Christiana, are excellent hosts. It is also the best value for money that I have found in Tuscany. I have been eating at this restaurant for 25 years and have never been disappointed. Hanns Maria Schmid Per me, the Antica Trattoria di Colle di Val d'Elsa is the emblem of an excellent restaurant in Tuscany. Mangiare in this ristorante is come "mangiare da Dio in Italia". The menu offers a variety of typical Tuscan dishes that are difficult to find. The ribolita is the migliore tra Firenze and Siena, while the tartare of Enrico is raffinata al punto giusto. The intero menu is accompanied by wine of high quality. It's perfect in this restaurant. The atmosphere is accompaniment, the cordial service and the ambient atmosphere are similar to the famous films of Federico Fellini. Enrico and Luciani Paradiesi, with the figure of Christiana, are also the fathers of the house. This is perfect and it also has a better quality report - before it was born in Tuscany. 23/05/2025: During my experience I encountered serious hygiene problems, finding worms inside the food. In addition, I witnessed a worrying scene with the owner lying on the floor in an apparent state of overdose. I strongly advise against this place. If you are looking for a place to eat, I suggest you go elsewhere, perhaps to a trusted kebab shop.

The complimentary bread service came with a signature house-made spread that immediately set the tone - its unique flavor profile had us asking for seconds. The star of the meal was undoubtedly the chickpea soup, a masterclass in layered flavors that revealed new dimensions with every spoonful. Dessert elevated the experience further, featuring a tiramisu that balanced coffee-kissed mascarpone perfection with airy lightness.

10/06/2025: Awesome food: one of the best pasta we had in Italy so far. Service: our server was professional and friendly. Wine: don’t mark up too much and had a great selection. Atmosphere: it was cozy, special, we all loved it. This restaurant has Michelin star since 2007. We counted it and I think they only missed couple years and won every single year after. We are not surprised since their food is spectacular.

08/06/2025: Gosh what an experience! This restaurant deserves all it's praise! The food was outstanding, I am still blown away by how tasty it was! The boar cooked in wine and milk for hours was especially good. The staff were all friendly and executed their jobs very well. I would recommend to anyone. Just be sure to book a table well in advance as they are very busy.
