05/06/2026: Simply: Rugantino's Roman cuisine will warm your heart!

04/06/2026: 2 adults and 2 children. Thursday evening. Not very crowded. Reservations recommended. Located on a small side street, near the center, this place was a pleasant surprise. A unique and original location, the staff were extremely courteous and never intrusive, dressed in costume. We sat on the small but cozy outdoor terrace. We had two appetizers and four first courses (carbonara, amatriciana, and cacio&pepe), all delicious. The mixed fried fish was a little smaller than the other dishes but delicious (€18). The price was slightly higher than average, but commensurate with the quality of the dishes and the seaside location. RECOMMENDED!

10/06/2026: Terrible experience. I made a reservation on Thursday for Saturday at 9:00 PM. They showed up and, saying I'd reserved a table for 9:00 PM, told me I'd have to wait because there were other customers first. So, there was no point in booking. The staff was extremely rude and unfriendly. I don't think I'll go again.

03/06/2026: The food was good. The pizza was Neapolitan, but well-cooked and topped. The waiters were attentive and friendly. I would recommend it.

02/06/2026: A seemingly simple restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Delicious seafood dishes, welcoming, helpful, and friendly staff. The seafood carbonara is truly special, and the desserts are equally as delicious. Highly recommended!

21/05/2026: We were invited to a wedding and the entire hotel was reserved for us. A little dream come true! 😊 The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are lovely too. Classic Italian style, some with kitchens. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I would recommend it even with a toddler! Delicious breakfast; our only complaint was that they only offered baby food/soup for our little one. Absolutely recommendable!

14/05/2026: This place saved our day when the first place we booked turned out not so great. We got a room here at short notice and had a lovely stay, nice walks and fantastic meal in the attached restaurant.

06/06/2026: The staff were friendly and helpful, but there was no menu with prices at the table. We weren't offered an appetizer (maybe they just didn't have anything?). We chose between three first courses and four second courses. We ordered frozen-style fries. We ordered bread for three people, and we were served four wafers. Overall, considering what the area has to offer, it's not worth it. The quality/price ratio is poor.

02/06/2026: The Serafini brothers are the ones who pampered me like a son when I spent six months of my life in Tuscany. I have nothing to say about the cuisine, as it perfectly reflects the typical trattoria style, using local, authentic ingredients. A warm hug from Sardinia. I hope to see you soon.

03/05/2026: We went to the Il Portico farmhouse in Capalbio for lunch with six friends. The restaurant is well-presented, with the classic country farmhouse feel: a beautiful garden with a pool and both indoor and outdoor spaces. The atmosphere is pleasant, comfortable, and spacious. The food was good, well-cooked, and of high quality, with a decent house red wine and an overall good value. The big problem, however, was the service: the first courses didn't arrive together. Four tortelli with Chianina beef ragù were served promptly, while the pappardella with wild boar and the pici with artichokes and pancetta arrived about 20 minutes later. The result: we all ate out of sync, which was definitely annoying and unacceptable for a group lunch. Honestly, it's unclear what happened in the kitchen, but such a disservice completely ruins the experience. Good food, but the organization needs revising. I don't think I'll be back.

02/05/2026: We were there recently... very good food, good service, a 4 for the hospitality... smile! Perhaps the prices are medium/high for some dishes; in the end, a plate of prosciutto with five fried pizza balls cost €12, a bit steep! You could do better!

12/06/2026: Excellent restaurant on the slopes of the Roselle excavations. The food is truly delicious, surrounded by lush greenery.

15/05/2026: It was the location for our wedding on May 9, 2026. What can I say? It completely fulfilled all our wishes! The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was exquisite, and all our requests were accommodated. The cake was exceptional; our guests are still talking about it. The setting was dreamy; we fell in love with it at first sight. 10/05/2026: Four of us had dinner last night, exploring the entire menu: appetizer, first course, second course, dessert, and liqueurs. The owner is very friendly and generous with suggestions and explanations of the local dishes, which I highly recommend you try! I didn't like the vegetarian appetizer, the cured meat one was okay, and the wild boar mortadella was very good. The pappardelle were very salty. We only had the first course, so I can't give a definitive review; perhaps it was an oversight in the kitchen. The legendary Maremmana is absolutely superb: order it plain, without parmesan or mushrooms. The desserts (Tutta della Nonna and cheesecake) are also very good, homemade, and highly recommended. The liqueurs (free, thank you) are very good, especially the one in the bottle (you'll know when you see it) is spectacular. Oh, and I forgot about the house wine, a pleasant Morellino.

07/05/2026: We were in this characteristic but ultimately very touristy place, the food was good, the platter was beautifully presented, but cured meats like Milanese salami in Grosseto are definitely not! On the menu, there is a rib-eye steak for 40 euros per kilo and a Florentine steak for 60 euros per kilo. This difference is not justifiable, especially since the rib-eye steak was not there, so if you want the steak, you either get the Florentine steak or nothing. When I asked to see the steak before cooking it, they forgot about the weight of the steak I received, cut very soft, we had asked for two well-done, they also forgot about the good sweet potatoes, so-so, we had asked to take away the leftover appetizer but they forgot that, perhaps a little more attention and transparency would help because not all customers pretend nothing is happening and the fact that it is on the sea does not allow them to be so superficial in their favor because maybe next time I will go elsewhere.

08/06/2026: I love places where only locals typically go. Pantera Rosa is exactly that kind of place. I actually only wanted a double espresso. Then I noticed the food on offer at the counter. The seafood salad and the pasta salad were delicious. Cooked just like you'd expect in Italy. The staff (mother, father, and daughter) were incredibly friendly, quick, and attentive. The daughter speaks good English. I would definitely come back.

29/05/2026: We stopped in for a quick dinner and it turned out to be a truly welcoming place. We ate very well: a mixed antipasto of cured meats and cheeses, fabulous pici with white ragu, Maremma meatballs, honey-wrapped pork ribs, tozzetti, and ginger, anise, and wild fennel grappa! The service was fast, attentive, but not intrusive. We felt pampered. P.S. Thanks for the spray the next day; it was crucial to our experience in Maremma.

The owners were extremely kind and knowledgeable, but what struck us most was their genuine passion for their work: it shines through in every detail, from the service to the descriptions of the dishes. The menu is simple, with just a few options, but carefully curated. Each dish is unique, refined, and unlike anything else you'll find elsewhere. There's a strong identity and a commitment to quality ingredients. A distinctive feature is their artisanal amaro, called "Amargo," which we also purchased to take home. It's inspired by the history of the Spanish occupation, a detail that adds character and depth to the experience. The quality-price ratio is absolutely right, in line with what's on offer. What we most enjoyed, however, is the atmosphere: we felt welcomed and at home. It's a place you'll gladly return to, not just for the food, but for the humanity that accompanies it.
