04/10/2025: We found this restaurant by chance (what luck in another country and immediately finding a good restaurant is not easy) and we had dinner three nights in a row and we are really sorry we had to leave but we will definitely recommend it to our friends who will be coming.

17/09/2025: Fish fit for a king, but keep it simple! When I go to Follonica, I always look for simple places where you can eat fish properly. This is one of those trattorias, without too many frills, with old-fashioned decor and a genuine atmosphere. I have to be honest: when it comes to fresh fish, they have few rivals. I had an octopus appetizer that melted in your mouth and a textbook grill, the kind that tastes of the sea. A friend who was with me, however, fared worse with a rice entree: it was overcooked, it seemed reheated, something you don't expect in a place like this. The atmosphere is lively, quite noisy and constantly coming and going, but that's the beauty of real trattorias. The staff is friendly, perhaps a little chaotic when it's busy, but always friendly. My advice: go there for the fresh fish, grilled or fried, and you won't go wrong. The price is fair.

02/09/2025: Great atmosphere and lovely food, the service a bit of a hit and miss, definitely not as good as it should be with me having to prompt the staff for suggestions! Their house wine is super good and great value for money for a Morellino. Pappardelle are good and so is the pecorino with truffle. The tagliata was ok. Expensive for what it is hence the overall rating

15/09/2025: Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos (the location distracted me), but if we return, I'll make up for it. Everything was delicious, and finally a salad worthy of the name, a truly rich and tasty dish. Very friendly staff, and the tables are just a meter from the sea. Recommended!

13/10/2025: Delicious food. Local Italian clientele. The host and the staff seem to be a family. I feel like we were very lucky to walk in and get a table on a Monday. Mark il canto del Gallo on your list for where to eat in Grosseto, you will not regret it!

21/09/2025: Went here since we felt like having a truffle lunch, this place absolutely didn’t disappoint. Lovely Italian restaurant, chef came to the table himself to ask if everything was okay. Service was super friendly, food was amazing. Every dish we saw passing looked tasty and the amount of truffle added to our pasta carbonara was way more than we dared to hope for. Absolutely recommend!

14/09/2025: A superb restaurant in the historic center of Grosseto. Finally, you can eat fish here. The highest quality goes perfectly with the service and location. Kudos also to the bathroom, which is not only beautiful but also clean, which, unfortunately, isn't a given. Many compliments indeed 👏.

01/10/2025: There's a wide selection on the menu, but as a customer who mostly orders pizza, I have to say that over time, the pizzas have gotten smaller and less topped, and the waits have gotten longer, especially for takeout: the hours can be up to 30 minutes later!!! And if you work a night shift, you might have to make do with leftovers from the fridge.

Even the first glance at the dishes revealed: The food is cooked with true passion – no frills, but with quality, tradition, and respect for good ingredients. The grilled chicken was an absolute highlight: perfectly crispy on the outside with a rich herb crust, buttery soft and juicy on the inside. Served with golden-brown roasted potatoes – slightly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside – just like you'd expect from a good Italian family kitchen. Down-to-earth, honest, and excellent. The pasta with fresh clams was pure Mediterranean joie de vivre on a plate. Perfectly al dente, accompanied by aromatic olive oil, garlic, fresh parsley, a hint of tomato, and finely chopped pistachios – a combination that surprises and delights. Every bite tasted of the sea, sun, and Italian craftsmanship. The carpaccio was extremely high-quality – wafer-thin slices of excellent quality beef, tender as butter, topped with freshly shaved truffles. A dish you only find in restaurants that uncompromisingly rely on top-quality ingredients. ⸻ Conclusion Authentic, fresh, high-quality, and prepared with great attention to detail. You can taste that the food is still cooked according to traditional methods – without compromise. A culinary insider tip for anyone who wants to experience Italy, not just eat it. A clear recommendation – we'll be back!

23/09/2025: [RECOMMENDATION] Unfortunately, I can't recommend this "breakfast place." A ⭐ rating is harsh, I admit, but it "corrects" the "4.8" ⭐ rating, which doesn't quite fit my opinion. [TOAST 🍞 THEATHER 😞] My avocado salmon toast with an egg was completely dry. The egg was completely overcooked. When I asked if I could have a little sauce like mayonnaise, they unfortunately couldn't offer it. They wanted to make me a new egg, which would be runny, so the bread wouldn't be dry and would be edible. They placed the new plate in front of me and immediately disappeared. Yes, the egg was now runny, so runny that the egg white was still transparent. I then returned the food and left my feedback. Unfortunately, they didn't want to address well-intentioned criticism. Which I find very unfortunate. Well-intentioned criticism is like a gold nugget that still needs to be polished to make it truly shine. Instead of acknowledging it, they respond with comments like, "I'm the first guest to complain about this, and I wanted it runny." I don't know how many people eat the egg whites while they're still transparent, and yes, I know you can eat raw eggs. Nevertheless, I find this behavior a bit unfortunate, and it doesn't really help if I don't have to pay for the plate. [PANCAKES 🥞] The pancakes were good, nothing to complain about. But in my opinion, that doesn't correspond to a 4.8 rating. [COFFEE ☕] The cappuccino was good. The cappuccino with caramel and the label "Sugar Free" was so extremely sweet that it was undrinkable. [CONCLUSION ⭐🏁] In my opinion, the Google rating isn't deserved here. I felt more like I was on an Italian highway or Italian street. Here, I missed the love of food that you find on almost every street corner in Italy, except, of course, for the odious "breakfast."

23/09/2025: I'm writing this review in response to a review I felt was unfair a few hours ago. I was present at Bar Spinetti when a German customer complained about an egg and how it was cooked, which he claimed was poorly cooked. I won't go into the merits of the dish, but I'd like to point out that the customer presented himself at the counter in a rather rude and unpleasant manner. Despite this, the bar staff reacted with extreme kindness and politeness, apologizing and offering to remake the dish without any problem. The customer refused, and they, with great fairness, waived the charge. For this reason, the single star awarded doesn't do it justice; in fact, it's truly unfair. Their behavior deserves at least 10 stars, both for the incident in question and for the attention and courtesy they always show their customers.

08/09/2025: We came from Grosseto at the recommendation of a celiac because, in her opinion, the gluten-free pizza was very good. The flavor is good, but the crust is thin and quite crispy, very different from the classic Neapolitan pizza. The gluten-free pizza also had a similar crust: thin and not very elastic. I gave it four stars because we also ordered two mixed gluten-free appetizers, and they were fabulous. We noticed that most of the other guests ordered fish, and the aroma was very inviting. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes, but not the pizza. :)

12/09/2025: A renovated family hotel with an exceptional atmosphere. The owner is a wonderful, charming lady who, together with her staff, will make sure that you feel welcome and cared for. No wish is impossible. Perfect cleanliness, daily cleaning, the hospitality of an excellent restaurant, a rich breakfast on the top floor of the hotel with a gallery and a view of the crowns of a vast pine grove. Open doors everywhere, including a beautiful terrace among the crowns of pine trees. Everyone is here for you. Parking opposite the hotel in the shade of the pine crowns, a short sandy path to the sea. Peace at the end of the seaside resort and yet a short walk to the colonnade. Excellent location, Thank you for occasionally encountering super hosts on our travels.

04/09/2025: A truly perfect week! The hotel proved to be an excellent choice in every way. The cleanliness was impeccable, both in the common areas and in the rooms: every day the room was tidied with such care that it always looked like we'd just arrived. We stayed in a spacious room, with an extra bed, which proved comfortable and functional. The cuisine deserves special mention: tasty, well-prepared, and high-quality dishes, making every meal a pleasure. Finally, a special mention goes to the staff, always attentive, professional, and extremely kind, ready to meet every need with courtesy and helpfulness. A stay that exceeded expectations: definitely a hotel we'll gladly return to.
