La Locanda dei Briganti In Grosseto

Finally, a place where you can't go wrong!! Whatever you choose, the food is superb, the service is excellent considering the crowd, and I found the perfect place to celebrate my 55th birthday...thank you!!

It's definitely the best restaurant I've ever eaten at. It deserves not five but 10 stars for everything: excellent food, variety, generous portions, friendly and professional staff, fast and precise. I'm from Bergamo, and the restaurants I've been to don't compare to Locanda dei Briganti. Thank you ❤️

A very nice place, tucked away from the sea but welcoming and with friendly, helpful staff. Quality food: we tried fish (from appetizers to grilled fish) and it was all delicious, especially the "octopus in jail," which was truly remarkable.

The atmosphere is very welcoming, clean, well-kept, quaint, and yet familiar. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and very approachable. The food is excellent; we tried everything from panzanella to fettuccine with wild boar ragù. I highly recommend the "pici alla Alberto Sordi" (almond pasta) and the melt-in-the-mouth desserts. The waitress's thoughtfulness in keeping the tiramisu aside due to high demand was greatly appreciated. After dinner, we also purchased some of the local specialties for sale. Excellent value, at €30 per person. We'll be back!

I'm sorry, but I wasn't entirely convinced: the appetizer and main course were not bad, but the real sore point was the Florentine steak. They serve you a plate with the bone in the center and on the sides two small piles of meat cubes, grilled on all sides and of a different thickness than the bone. The meat is flavorful but not particularly tender (and up to that... well... we have teeth). What really bothered me was that clearly none of those pieces belonged to the fillet! The consistency of all the pieces was the same and 100% different from that of the fillet trimmings I managed to separate from the bone. My impression is that they probably sell several fillets and that when it comes time to serve a Florentine steak, they make do by saving up for the leftover rib eye (still good, I repeat, but with a definitely different price per kilo). Furthermore, after reading the reviews, I noticed that this issue had been reported by other customers. Either we're all charlatans (possible) or my advice remains valid: focus on first courses and tagliata!

Wonderful restaurant, just a few minutes’ drive from Marina di Grosetto. There is free parking across the street or around the corner. Service is good and friendly. I recommend calling ahead to reserve, because this place tends to fill up. All the dishes are local Italian dishes executed perfectly without weird flourishes. You can confidently order anything on the menu. We liked the restaurant so much, we came several times during our stay in Grosetto. The steak was one of the best I’ve ever had.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the meat was excellent, among the best I've ever tasted—so much so that I ordered a second helping of the rosemary tagliata. Congratulations!

I went on the recommendation of friends, and I was very satisfied. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I'd never tasted a tagliata like that before; it was incredibly tender! The other dishes were also excellent. I highly recommend it!

During our week's vacation, we went to this restaurant twice. The first time, due to a mix-up, we had a long wait for our first courses, but the restaurant staff apologized profusely and didn't charge us for the first courses (for a total of about €30). They even offered us coffee. The food was delicious, and despite everything, the staff were wonderful! In fact, we went back a second time and they treated us with kid gloves, impeccable! A must-visit if you're in the area!
