Ristorante Villa Ambra l'Oste Dispensa In Orbetello

We stayed two nights at the Villa Ambra Hotel, adjacent to the restaurant. We dined on Saturday evening, April 18th, and were very lucky to find a table. The restaurant was completely full, but this in no way affected the excellent quality of the food and service. We had an appetizer, two first courses (one of which was made with the day's specialty), a fried fish dish, and a dessert; these courses were accompanied by a glass of local white wine and a bottle of water. The service was precise and attentive, the food excellent, and the fish was very fresh. The dinner cost €80, or €40 per person; I'd say it was more than fair. A special mention goes to the first course of the day: homemade pici with mussel and bottarga carbonara, served with lemon zest. Highly recommended!

Excellent food, very nice atmosphere directly above the beach

A well-maintained restaurant on the Giannella road. We recommend booking as it was a Friday evening and the restaurant was busy. Excellent service and good food. The use of lagoon products, revisited and used in various ways, is very interesting. Excellent value for money. I recommend it!

The lunch was perfect, as was the service. The waiter, Emanuel, was very kind and friendly with us.

I chose this place with my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary, and we couldn't have asked for anything better. The fish was excellent, incredibly fresh and cooked with care. The service was impeccable, attentive but never intrusive. The quality/price ratio was absolutely fair.

Good, but not great, but only because I'm a traditionalist and find it more suitable for those who prefer modern dishes over classic ones. Nevertheless, I must admit that the food is well-cooked and the ingredients are high-quality. The place is also very beautiful and well-kept. The only thing that wasn't up to par was the service (the waiter who served us was really awkward... almost embarrassed) and the rather long wait times. Despite these considerations, I recommend it.

A Slow Food-certified restaurant, the menu offers a wide selection of dishes, but the quality doesn't seem to suffer, as most of the dishes are freshly caught daily or locally sourced. The food is extremely high-quality, but the portions are slightly on the small side. The atmosphere is very welcoming and varied.
