12/11/2025: We had the most incredible dinner last night at Cancello dei Macci. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by Lory and Chris who are so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is perfectly decorated and you feel like you walked into a cozy Tuscany home which makes perfect sense because it feels like they are cooking for you as if you are their closest friends and family. Everything we tasted was authentic and delicious - just perfect. The chef is incredibly talented and it shows with every dish he makes. If you are in Florence you absolutely need to add this place to your list! ✨

31/10/2025: I discovered this place via Instagram and it's the first one I couldn't wait to try as soon as I arrived in beautiful Florence. What can I say... everything was exceptional. We tried two incredible dishes: the first was the Halloween version of the pizza of the day, with cavolo nero and pumpkin. I chose the raw version and added walnuts, and believe me, it was amazing. So much so that I ordered a second helping, with olives and capers instead of walnuts. A dream. I chose the raw version because it intrigued me so much and because they make everything homemade. Even the cheeses and granola they use for the bowls are all homemade, and believe me, the difference is huge and you can taste it. The other dish we tried was the Pad Thai, recommended by our neighbor at the table with these words: "You have to try Pad Thai, it's incredible." No sooner said than done. And I must say, this was also delicious. We also had a very fresh smoothie that went perfectly with our lunch. We didn't try them, but the desserts are all homemade and looked incredibly inviting. I regret not having tried them, to be honest. The milk they use for hot and cold drinks is homemade and sweetened only with dates. The place is not only vegan, but entirely gluten-free. There's a lot of attention paid to the entire product offering, and it shows in every dish. I didn't take photos of the dishes because I enjoyed this meal so much. This place was a real discovery, and believe me, I can't wait to go back. The place is very cute; there's an inside area and a Debora, and the staff is kind, helpful, and attentive to every need and request. I recommend booking because it's so good, it's always packed. You absolutely have to try it!

04/11/2025: I could say this was the best food we had in our trip through Italy. What a good carpaccio, terrific pasta (pici all’aglione) and the meat 5 starts worthy. The waitress was lovely and very professional.

11/10/2025: Very close to Antinori and in the heart of Garbino, this restaurant was bustling with locals and tourists (like us) which made the atmosphere come alive in such a great way. Food: 5/5. We had Florentine steak which was cooked just right and full of flavour. Also a pasta and a side of potatoes, it was all incredibly delicious. Come dolci, we indulged in their panna cotta options and they nailed it on all aspects. Service: 5/5. Not much to say here other than they did very well and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Our reservation was held and we were served quickly.

01/11/2025: Let's start with the prices, which are decidedly high compared to the portions and the average! The prices for off-menu dishes are unreasonable! It's difficult to order multiple courses because you'd spend a fortune. The appetizer and first course menu offers limited choices. The place is small, but the staff is friendly. I wouldn't recommend it if you have children, as they don't have simpler dishes suitable for them: the tomato pasta is full of chopped tomatoes and vegetables, the hamburger (€18.50) is thick and can only be had medium-rare, and they don't have cutlet or fries. We had the pici: they were good, but given the portion, they were quite expensive (€18.50 per person). The radicchio lasagna arrived unshaped on the plate. Desserts? Worth their weight in gold. A slice of chocolate cake is €9.50. You can definitely find better around.

28/10/2025: We’ve been coming here for many years — every time we drive from Vienna to Italy, we always stop to have lunch or dinner. It’s been probably around 15 years already. The atmosphere is always wonderful, the service excellent, and the food absolutely delicious. This place has truly become a special tradition for us.

01/11/2025: La Botteghe di Donatello is an amazing restaurant, the atmosphere is cozy and pleasant, the food is excellent, and the service is outstanding. We went there several times during our stay in Florence, and every visit was wonderful. I’d like to give special thanks to Norbert, who welcomed us warmly and was very attentive and friendly. Without a doubt, an exceptional professional.
