Osteria Armanda 1926 In Firenze

What a great find! The service was attentive and friendly, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was good. We went on a Tuesday night at 8pm and booking seemed to be essential as the place was full. We booked online about 5pm, no worries. We had antipasti of arguably the best cold sliced meats I've ever had, paired with a couple of different cheeses. We followed this with a Tortelloni with ragu and a Papardella with wild boar. Both of these were very tasty. Dessert was panna cotta and dessert wine. Lovely bit of La Dolce Vita in this lovely restaurant!

More than 10/10. We visited as soon as we arrived in Florence and we had had a VERY bad day. Bad news back in Australia, the sort that makes you search return tickets back home. In shock we wandered the streets and googled good restaurants in the area until we found this gem & made a recommended reservation. So glad we did. On entering, straight away the atmosphere lifted our spirits. The waitress was discreetly dancing to the music while serving drinks with the most welcoming smile, the manager instantly lit up the room with his friendly charm, the waiters were laughing with the guests. The design was very cute, brick walls, displays to photograph, fairy lights above the bar and plants hanging from the ceiling. We asked for recommendations and we got gold in return. Because we asked the questions we got the history and the recommendations. For instance.. we found out about the rareness of the famous Florentine steak because we asked the questions and were given the history of the dish. I have never been to Florence, the imparted knowledge was fascinating and served with enthusiasm. The charisma and the charm of the staff made this place fabulous. The professional upbeat positivity and knowledge of the wait staff, the calm focus of the kitchen chefs dedicated to each meal being perfect, the sincere warmth of all staff.. can't beat it. Thank you very much for the Osteria Cancello dei Macci team for their warm welcoming ! The service was very good as well as the food, and the waiters all tried to do their best to speak french with us. The food was delicious, and we really enjoyed our dinner ! I highly recommend this place for all the visitors that they would love to experiment an authentic tasty food from Italy 🇮🇹

Simply wonderful, waiter was lovely. Relaxed atmosphere whilst also feeling like a special meal (without breaking the bank) food was wonderful. One of my top 2 restaurants for the whole trip.

We ordered a starter, a main course, and a dessert, along with a bottle of excellent wine. The total came to around €70–75 per person. Our waiter, Roberto, was very friendly and attentive, and the food was outstanding. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!
