Authentic Italian experience. We arrived just as they were going to close after lunch (weren’t aware of this custom) and when they found out we were Canadians, we were ushered to a table and treated like we were long lost relatives they hadn’t seen in years, incuding free shots of some flavorful Italian liqueurs. Son was the waiter, momma was hostess/kitchen help and poppa worked the kitchen. We were familia! No Italian on our part, no English on their part, they just used the Love to make it special. ❤️❤️

This family-run restaurant in Florence is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and the kind of hospitality that instantly makes you feel at home. The food was incredible all homemade, traditional Tuscan recipes that were clearly prepared with love and care. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor, from the fresh pasta to the slow-cooked sauces and rustic desserts. It felt like being invited into a local family’s kitchen. What made the experience even more special was the atmosphere cozy, welcoming, and full of character. You can really feel the passion behind everything they do. If you’re in Florence and want to experience genuine local food and the warmth of a true Italian family, don’t miss this place. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

Highly recommended for lunch near the Strozzi Palace and the Uffizi Gallery. Excellent pasta, good service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Home-style, family-run food. The tagliatelle with pesto was wonderful, and the gnocchi with tomato sauce was also very good. We didn't take pictures of the main courses, but we thoroughly enjoyed them. Prices are typical for the area; not cheap, but not expensive either. Perhaps the best value for money we found in our four days in Florence. We were there a few days ago and didn't want to miss the opportunity to write a review. Thank you.

A family-run restaurant, Alessandro, the son who runs the dining room, is a truly delightful person, with a smile and polite manners that are immediately apparent. As for the food, what can I say? Fantastic tagliatelle, divine meat, and even the desserts are second to none. Highly recommended.

We had a great lunch there. The service was friendly and the food was wholesomely good! Great value for the price. The wild boar pasta and seafood risotto were cooked with generous amounts of wine! Thank you for a great meal!

In a Florence that has become a food and wine trap for wealthy tourists, Trattoria Roberto stands firm and offers, in its retro yet authentic setting, a genuine Tuscan cuisine experience, just like grandma's. All accompanied by the warm welcome of the family who have run this restaurant for decades. Everything was perfect, from the appetizers to the first courses; we'll be back to try the second courses! A typical Florentine family-run trattoria in the heart of the Uffizi Gallery. Recommended for a home-cooked experience!

Best meal we had in Florence. The risotto was fresh and flavourful and meat perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was great the both times we visited and we got to meet the chefs which made it that bit personable.
