19/07/2025: A lovely little place overlooking the harbor. The dishes are few, but well-prepared and carefully prepared, with some Ferrarese influences. The service is informal and friendly. The price is all in all reasonable for a dinner. We had a great time.

19/07/2025: My husband and I went to dinner at La Cantina, drawn by the numerous positive reviews. We started with two appetizers, both good. Then for my main course, I ordered the catch of the day, John Dory baked in foil, which the owner had raved about. The price, however, hadn't been quoted to me, nor was it listed anywhere. That alone isn't good enough. When my plate arrived, I was immediately perplexed by its size—it was truly tiny. It was a ridiculous portion that no one should have had the courage to offer as a main course. My husband's tuna portion was also truly meager. It should be noted that the restaurant isn't billed as a gourmet restaurant, where very small portions are typically expected. When it came time to pay, the worst—I mentioned this to the owner, who immediately acknowledged the excessively small size of my plate, saying that a discount had already been arranged. (The discount was on a price that hadn't been quoted to me at the beginning, however...) Unfortunately, at that point he called in the co-owner, who was extremely rude and even started making fun of us. First, he justifies the meager size of my portion by saying that the supplier had supplied them with particularly small fish that day. (So maybe it would have been better to either not buy it or offer it as an appetizer, at most??). Then he LAUGHS at the fact that I might have gotten the smallest slice, followed by "Well, you didn't eat that alone, did you?" and the grand finale, "Come on, I left you wanting more!!!"—which speaks for itself. It was truly terrible, bullying behavior. The two stars go to the appetizers and the table service. Needless to say, we wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

09/07/2025: When you feel like going out, don't want to eat processed foods, but want a healthy meal, this is the place to be. Just a few dishes, but all tasty and balanced. P.S. You'll fill your stomach without emptying your wallet.

04/07/2025: This place, to be defined as magical I think is the right and only indication. You enter as a customer, you immediately immerse yourself in a familiar environment and you leave as a friend. Crossroads of many stories, of many people, of many ideas. A place from which you take more than you leave. Full of positivity and smiles like those of the owner who are highly contagious. The food is excellent and healthy, and all the charge of tranquility and joy of the owner and her staff you find it in the dishes, made with simple but complicit flavors, exciting even to the eyes. A place that requires its time, that must really be savored and remains stuck to you when you leave.

It's difficult to explain in just a few lines the pleasure of returning to this typical, high-quality Sienese Osteria, located on Via dei Rossi, just 5 minutes from Piazza del Campo. A beautiful atmosphere, traditional Sienese dishes... and more; meticulously sourced ingredients, carefully prepared by Chef Marco. The delightful Caterina and her always friendly and helpful staff will welcome you.

01/08/2025: A very characteristic place in the center of Siena... very good food, courtesy and good service (since they are also the owners), fair price for the quality of the food you eat... what can I say.... highly recommended and try it 👍

20/07/2025: Group Dinner The location is undoubtedly the restaurant's strong point: right on the waterfront, with a picturesque view and a thoughtful, atmospheric table setting. Unfortunately, however, the service wasn't up to par. We ordered a bowl of mixed fried fish, which was overall good, well-fried, and not overly greasy. Next, a mackerel pasta dish, which disappointed us: it was overly spicy, with very intense aromas (like turmeric or curry), not listed on the menu. I think this is an important detail to point out, given the unique flavors. The spaghetti with mussels, cherry tomatoes, and pecorino cheese, on the other hand, was lacking in flavor, dominated by tomato and with a cheesy aftertaste that didn't quite match the dish. The grilled octopus was good. As for desserts, we ordered three, but only two arrived. The final bill was decidedly high for the overall quality of the food. Furthermore, when I asked for a receipt due to the high price, they printed the total, making it impossible to verify the individual items for the dinner. In short: breathtaking views and a refined atmosphere, but an overall disappointing experience. A shame.

18/07/2025: We ate tonight, the setting is very pleasant we were lucky enough to eat on the seafront, the service as well as the food are excellent! I really recommend it's a very good address 😊!

21/07/2025: Four of us had dinner there a few nights ago! My partner is from Elba, and we try different restaurants every year. This is definitely one of the best restaurants on the island: the atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is kind, friendly, and informal at the same time. The food is excellent, well-cooked, and the ingredients are fresh! The restaurant is very refined and in an excellent location! I hope everything stays the same next year! We'll definitely be back!

03/07/2025: We thought we would eat a nice ice cream. We ask what the price of that pot is, they say 2 euros. In the meantime we paid 40 euros for 3 pots of ice cream and a melted soft ice cream! The flavors were not even right. We ask for vanilla ice cream and got milk ice cream?!! Ice cream with nuts instead of oreo? What if someone was allergic to nuts?!!! 40 euros for ice cream is not normal and then also the wrong flavors? I call this pure fraud! There is somewhere much better and less expensive.

24/07/2025: We had a really tastefully food experience in the restaurant. The place is small and cosy. The food sooooo delightful as my nona was preparing it. We had a bottle of Prosecco, two main dishes, salad and two caffe for only 27€. Amazing food for realy good price

19/07/2025: I loved it. The staff was simple but friendly and helpful. We ate deliciously and satisfied while paying a fair price, which isn't a given these days. Better than many large restaurants. Well done.

06/08/2025: If you’re looking for a romantic and delicious restaurant in Florence then look no further. I ordered the most delicious chicken parmigiana that I had on my trip. The chicken was very fresh tasting, and flavorful without being too heavy. The restaurant has amazing energy, and is both relaxing and exciting to visit. The service was incredible, and the wine was delicious.

04/07/2025: Amazing Maremma tortelli, good cold cuts and wild boar... too bad that having booked at the last minute they reserved the place inside (hot) for us without having warned us first... and made us wait too long for the wild boar while at the other tables everything had already been served..... anyway definitely worth going for tortelli both with ragù and butter and sage.... specify tables outside which being high up in Tirli is also "fresh"

15/06/2025: Simple cuisine, huge dishes, honest prices, all enclosed in a picturesque little place that obviously remembers its name... The fish dishes are top, I challenge anyone to have an appetizer, first course and second course and not be stuffed to the ears...
