02/04/2026: Tortelli stuffed with ricotta and spinach, topped with classic ragù, sublime!!! Their homemade desserts are a must-try, right on sight, with no regrets or "sin." A welcoming and quiet place. The staff are very kind and empathetic. As soon as I have the chance to return, I'll be pampered by their kindness and culinary specialties 🍽️😋 It's a shame they're no longer open as a guesthouse and you can't stay overnight 🥲

29/03/2026: Historic trattoria for tortelli...nothing to complain about. We ordered three types: one with classic ragù, one with wild boar ragù, and one with butter and sage. Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is reminiscent of the 1980s, with plenty of history and tradition.

13/04/2026: I ordered a Margherita pizza, Vongole Gnocchi, and Zero Coke. This was the most disappointing meal I had on the seventh day of my trip to Italy. Based on the price range and reviews, I expected a certain level of quality, but all the main dishes fell short of expectations. The Margherita was overcooked, and the dough was tough rather than chewy. The tomato sauce tasted like store-bought sauce, and the cheese lacked richness. The gnocchi and the Vongole sauce seemed to be completely separate, and the texture was poor, as if they had been boiled from a frozen state. Since it is a restaurant targeting tourists, it seems they focus on catering to one-time customers. In fact, when I visited during lunchtime, there didn't seem to be any locals, and I saw a tourist at the next table complaining, leaving their food uneaten, and paying the bill without even asking the server if they wanted it packed up. For 10.50 euros, you can easily find a better Margherita pizza. Please keep in mind that this review is based on my personal taste, and if you visit, I strongly advise against ordering the gnocchi.

13/04/2026: Update: April 13th, I decided to try this place again and it was extremely busy but shockingly, the customer service was much better. I'm not sure what my server's name was but he was both awesome and handsome. I ordered nonna's chicken cutlet and it was quite tasty and light. I also had a limonchello spritz which was amazing and light. Despite the busy crowd, this was overall a great experience. Strolled in today around 2pm. I was greeted by a kind hostess who also seated me. I sat for over 5 mins and no one greeted me, offered water, or at least say someone would be right with me. I of course left. I came due to word of mouth and the reviews, unfortunately, I guess I won't know how great the food is. Don't let my experience be the reason you don't try this place.

09/03/2026: We had a great time! Our dining experience was really good, the food tasted even better than we anticipated, I sincerely recommend if someone wants to try traditional tuscan cuisine, the table service was very professional and helpful.

20/03/2026: A Magical Experience It was truly a wonderful evening, a birthday present for my partner, who thoroughly enjoyed it. The venue is incredibly exclusive, located inside a historic Florentine villa, Villa Bardini, which is worth a visit in itself. The service was impeccable: the staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the dishes and describing the wines and their pairings. We chose the "La Via di Mezzo" menu, featuring eight courses with a selection of seven wines. Each course was a discovery, a visual and gustatory experience. Personally, I was struck by the elegance and simplicity of the Beetroot: it was almost a sin to eat it. The Jerusalem Artichoke, Stravecchio, and Coffee Risotto, on the other hand, recalled the latte I drank as a boy before class. Among the desserts, the Brunelleschi Cupola with chocolate, black cherries, and ricotta was a truly delicious treat. The wine pairings were all spot-on; The wines didn't overpower the dishes, but complemented them, enriching the experience. Finally, a wonderful surprise: the view from the villa's terrace of Brunelleschi's Dome and a 200-degree panorama of Florence that rivals even Piazzale Michelangelo. This restaurant has all the credentials for a Michelin star, even if these days it's become a somewhat overused and sometimes "misleading" accolade. Many congratulations again to the Chef and all the staff!

28/03/2026: I went to this restaurant at the recommendation of the B&B where we were staying... I didn't think I could eat anything except vegetables... I'm a vegetarian. But I was really impressed by the owner's helpfulness... you can tell he's a knowledgeable person... I had the pappa al mondoro... but with a twist, delicious... really good, and the cecina with vegetables like Tuscan cabbage on top... The menu has so many inviting recipes. From appetizers to main courses. If you happen to be in the area... call ahead to book... I highly recommend it.

12/02/2026: It's located on the side exiting the Uffizi Gallery. The staff was friendly and the steak was sooooo delicious. I ordered a 1.2kg T-bone steak, which was enough for two people. It melted in my mouth the moment I put it in... It was really thick and cooked just right. I now understand why people say you have to eat T-bone in Florence. I would definitely visit again~

04/04/2026: A small casual wine bar, with a small and carefully curated wine list, by the glass or bottle. Prices are very reasonable. We had delicious ribollita, gnocchi, and a fabulous beef cheek stew, which paired perfectly with a decent Chianti Classico. Service is friendly and efficient. Quality ingredients. Perfect for a casual meal. Highly recommended.

13/11/2025: A pleasant discovery! I'd heard about this place and finally decided to try it, piqued by curiosity. Small but very welcoming, where you can relax and read a book! I tried a very good and unique poke. Fast service and affordable prices. It's a shame the bistro is a bit hidden, but I'd definitely go back!

12/11/2025: Special place: a bar and a bookshop, specializing in children's books, with a room for courses and meetings... To visit and return! Now there are access problems due to road reconstruction, but the uniqueness of the place is in the second entrance. Perhaps less comfortable but incredibly fascinating. Visiting the restaurant remains a priority if you pass through these parts. A plus is the service: the friendliness and affability of the owner are a plus that transforms every visit into an enchanting adventure. Update: road and access finally fixed, it is confirmed as a true oasis for a restaurant for the soul and... also the stomach... highly recommended.
