20/03/2026: A Magical Experience
It was truly a wonderful evening, a birthday present for my partner, who thoroughly enjoyed it. The venue is incredibly exclusive, located inside a historic Florentine villa, Villa Bardini, which is worth a visit in itself.
The service was impeccable: the staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the dishes and describing the wines and their pairings. We chose the "La Via di Mezzo" menu, featuring eight courses with a selection of seven wines. Each course was a discovery, a visual and gustatory experience.
Personally, I was struck by the elegance and simplicity of the Beetroot: it was almost a sin to eat it. The Jerusalem Artichoke, Stravecchio, and Coffee Risotto, on the other hand, recalled the latte I drank as a boy before class. Among the desserts, the Brunelleschi Cupola with chocolate, black cherries, and ricotta was a truly delicious treat.
The wine pairings were all spot-on; The wines didn't overpower the dishes, but complemented them, enriching the experience. Finally, a wonderful surprise: the view from the villa's terrace of Brunelleschi's Dome and a 200-degree panorama of Florence that rivals even Piazzale Michelangelo.
This restaurant has all the credentials for a Michelin star, even if these days it's become a somewhat overused and sometimes "misleading" accolade. Many congratulations again to the Chef and all the staff!
