Update: April 13th, I decided to try this place again and it was extremely busy but shockingly, the customer service was much better. I'm not sure what my server's name was but he was both awesome and handsome. I ordered nonna's chicken cutlet and it was quite tasty and light. I also had a limonchello spritz which was amazing and light. Despite the busy crowd, this was overall a great experience. Strolled in today around 2pm. I was greeted by a kind hostess who also seated me. I sat for over 5 mins and no one greeted me, offered water, or at least say someone would be right with me. I of course left. I came due to word of mouth and the reviews, unfortunately, I guess I won't know how great the food is. Don't let my experience be the reason you don't try this place.

Super delicious, very friendly atmosphere, reasonable price. They first forgot our dishes but we didn't mind since they were really polite and welcoming. We tried street food starter, Tagliatelle and fried Calamari and all were perfect. We'd definitely been back if we had more time in Florence.

Fantastic place with the best pizza I've ever had. Very friendly staff. Our waiter Alex was great. Recommend the place. Good price range. There was something for everyone.

The service was excellent. They were very helpful with our order. The lobster pasta was amazing. The Caesar salad was excellent. The steak was just okay. The beef tartare was excellent. The pizza looked great, but we didn't order it. I recommend trying it.

05/04/2026: We are lucky to have a restaurant such as this close to where we live. The food is "ottimo" and the "Borromeo" Chianti Classico riserva 2021 from the own estate is a delicious very well made powerhouse. Service, the beautifully laid out ristorante, everything is totally on par and tasteful. Next time it will be a bit warmer, so then we will dine outdoors: we will also be able to enjoy the beautiful views of the valley. For the 30th of may we have already booked a "pranzo" and a tasting of the estate wines to enjoy with the family that is coming over from NL and the USA. This was (and will be) the ultimate Italian (dining) experience!
29/03/2026: My husband and I just stayed 5 nights here in March and wow, wow, wow!! We are so impressed with the service, the stay, and the views! The rooms were so beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating — Claudia helped with breakfast each morning and always was so kind in setting up a table on the patio for us and making our coffees, and the staff were kind to give us silverware and plates for some snacks we had brought back. Breakfast always had plenty of options and fresh pastries, fruits, eggs, etc. We absolutely hope to return again one day. Also can’t say enough about the location - very central and convenient for day trips into Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, and other surrounding towns. San Casciano in Val di Pesa is also a lovely town with everything you need - grocery, gelato, restaurants, etc! The restaurant wasn’t open for the season yet, so we will HAVE to come back!!!
