18/04/2025: Excellent family lunch - We found this informal restaurant and were happily impressed: the raw materials were excellent, made the most of. Generous portions and with an old-fashioned quality-price ratio. We recommend it and will return.

18/03/2025: I knew the Daniele e Riccardo restaurant by name because everyone had spoken very highly of it to me but I had never had the pleasure of going there. Finally some colleagues took me there a couple of weeks ago and I was really thrilled! Never eaten so many good dishes 😋 One of my favorite dishes? The fried Cinta Senese cutlet... And to think that I don't like pork and I don't like fried food! In addition to the excellent food, truly impeccable service and excellent prices. I can't wait to go back with my whole family ❤️ Thank you

02/03/2025: A group of 16 people, between adults and teenagers, we arrived at this tavern by chance (we thought we were going to eat a sandwich). We loved it, excellent Lucca tordelli, wide choice of vegetarian dishes, fast and friendly service. Excellent 👌

21/03/2025: I highly recommend this place, typical cuisine, friendly staff, furnishings that make you feel like you're really in Tuscany and more than generous portions. For me it's YES! (I didn't take a picture of the Pici cacio e pepe because they were too good)

20/03/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant and were very satisfied. Fast and friendly service, perfect for those who have little time but do not want to give up quality. The food was excellent, with well-prepared and tasty dishes. Definitely a place to return to!

28/02/2025: Suggested by a local friend as one of the last places to appreciate the true Tuscan cuisine of the past, it is located on the border between Florence and Siena. Very well-kept place, impeccable cuisine and service; targeted and well-stocked menu. As a welcome entree offered by the house, fried anchovies accompanied by sweet and sour red onions and pine nuts very tasty. For first courses we chose pici all'aglione and ribollita both of excellent workmanship, accompanied by two glasses of strictly local wine. For second course I opted for a plate of mixed Tuscan cold cuts. Classic desserts, I recommend the apple pie! Amaro at the end of the meal kindly offered by the owners. The portions are nice and generous!! Average cost for good cuisine.

17/02/2025: Questo posto è eccellente a dire poco: invitante da subito all'entrata con tavoli confortevoli e piacevolmente arredati. Il menu è spettacolare e la cantina da enoteca con un'infinita scelta di vini di tutte le regioni. La pasta e la carne che abbiamo assaggiato è stata una meraviglia. Personale accorto ed attento a tutte le nostre esigenze comprensivo del nostro amico a 4 zampe (animali ammessi con ciotolina per l'acqua). Che dire...ritorneremo sicuramente. Questo locale merita tutte le cinque stelle e i dieci punti della classifica.

04/11/2024: I came for lunch with my partner and we had a great time; truly delicious dishes, great attention to detail and above all in the choice of raw materials (many of which are 0 km). Impeccable service and staff who are particularly attentive to the customer. At the end of the meal we were also offered a digestive of their production which closed the experience in the best way.

02/11/2024: Perfect experience. We went to this place for dinner, they welcomed us with smiles, kindness and a lot of professionalism. We ordered various things and everything was delicious, excellent products, some organic and others from their garden, compliments indeed.

03/03/2025: To celebrate my birthday this year, my mother decided to rely on this pastry shop, ordering two cakes, one better than the other. The cakes were FABULOUS and were enjoyed by everyone! The first cake was a Millefeuille (my favorite cake), which really amazed me both with its beauty and its taste: it was simply perfect. The second cake was a Red Velvet and, again, everything was done to perfection. It's been a long time since I had a Red Velvet that I really liked; every time I tasted it it didn't fully convince me and I was always looking for one that fully satisfied me. Now I can say that I finally found it. All my guests were pleasantly surprised and I can say that these cakes made my birthday truly wonderful and special. I didn't know this pastry shop before, but from now on I will definitely rely on them when I need a cake. The staff, according to my mother who ordered the cakes, was really helpful, kind and very attentive to her requests. Even regarding the prices, she was more than satisfied. If you are looking for a beautiful and delicious cake for any event, this is the right pastry shop!

09/04/2025: A Truly Special Dinner in the Heart of Chianti We had such an amazing experience at this restaurant—easily the best dinner we've had in Italy so far. The setting is beautiful, with a cozy, rustic vibe and a terrace that looks out over the Chianti hills. Even though we showed up about 30 minutes before closing and the place was clearly busy with reservations, the owner still found a way to seat us. You could tell how much he cares about his restaurant and the food he serves—he didn’t rush us at all, and he made us feel genuinely welcome. That kind of hospitality really stuck with us. The food was just incredible. We started with a board of delicate cured meats and cheeses that paired perfectly with a glass of local red wine. The lardo was especially memorable—thin, buttery, and topped with rosemary and spices. And the pasta? Absolutely delicious. Rich, hearty sauce with super tender meat on top—it was comfort food at its finest, but with a lot of care and flavor behind it. This place really has something special. Great food, a beautiful atmosphere, and an owner who truly pours his heart into what he does. If you're in the area, don’t miss it.

El personal amable y de buena relación calidad-precio, la habitación trasera con techo abovedado era agradable. Debí haber tenido postres, pero en su lugar tenía un amaro, en un vaso lindo. ¡Buena pizza!

18/03/2025: Magnificent villa surrounded by greenery, unfortunately we ended up on a rainy day so we couldn't enjoy the outside but the inside is also very beautiful, characteristic and well-kept. Not too wide a menu choice, typical Tuscan dishes, homemade pasta, attention to raw materials, generous portions, everything delicious. The service is also excellent. Prices in line with the service and quality offered.

14/04/2025: They certainly don't need my review, but it's honestly one of the best places in Volterra and they make the best hamburger I've eaten so far in Italy. The owners are really nice, but also true professionals. They do everything themselves, from grinding the meat for the hamburgers to the real handmade French fries, to the sauces. They use excellent basic ingredients, the beef is mucco pisano and the pork is cinta senese, as well as local cheeses. The hamburgers can be chosen either ready-made on the menu, or customized with the (excellent) individual ingredients. Also available in a "broken down" version on the plate, to eat on the spot or take away. Honorable mention for the piadina al Chianti with spectacular porchetta! Excellent choice of Italian artisanal drinks and good desserts too. Very reasonable prices despite the high quality of the ingredients. What can I say? A must-see!

23/03/2025: I went here for lunch for the first time today with my partner, on the advice of a colleague of mine!!! I'm just saying thank you, colleague, you couldn't recommend a better place, we ate wonderfully and thanks to the waiters who offered us tastings, we tasted more things!! Excellent service, friendly, polite and polite waiters!!! Next time we will make a regular stop here when we are in the area.

16/04/2025: Posto molto carino e servizio cortese. Prezzi troppo alti rispetto alla quantità e qualità del cibo. In un piatto abbiamo trovato un pezzettino di plastica nero e duro (o dente di polpo a detta del personale). Può capitare, ma ci aspettavamo un po di sconto alla cassa o quantomeno delle scuse.
