What can I say... Grillo Moro is one of those rare places where you immediately feel at ease as soon as you enter. We were in the area for a short vacation, and we had dinner and lunch at this wonderful place. From the courteous, friendly, and professional staff who guided us through our selection of dishes, to the fantastic dishes, to the quiet and meticulously maintained, yet comfortable, location surrounded by greenery... without a doubt, you must try it and return! A proper Tuscan countryside restaurant: no frills, no tourist traps. The bistecca is the main event, and it delivers. Handmade pasta is solid too. Warm, family-run atmosphere that feels genuinely local. Worth the drive from Siena.

I went to this restaurant at the recommendation of the B&B where we were staying... I didn't think I could eat anything except vegetables... I'm a vegetarian.
But I was really impressed by the owner's helpfulness... you can tell he's a knowledgeable person...
I had the pappa al mondoro... but with a twist, delicious... really good, and the cecina with vegetables like Tuscan cabbage on top...
The menu has so many inviting recipes.
From appetizers to main courses.
If you happen to be in the area... call ahead to book... I highly recommend it.

A place that requires a car to reach, but it's worth the trip.
Attentive service, good food, and a friendly, typically Tuscan owner.
The outdoor space is also lovely, although we didn't enjoy it due to the winter season, but it must be very pleasant in the summer.
(The only downside is the proximity of the tables; otherwise, the atmosphere is comfortable.)

Delicious! Best restaurant we tried in Siena during our Strade Bianche trip. Papa al pomodoro is a MUST! The bistecca with fieno also amazing. The owner is so funny and nice...dont miss out!
