From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, the service was second to none. The maitre'd, or waited Amelia, and two other staff members, were all helpful, patient and knowledgeable. Recommendations were spot on, and the dishes could not have been prepared better. The specialty of the house and the region - the Fiorentina -is appropriately pricey for a high end beef cut at a good restaurant, but you will not be disappointed with the splurge. The pasta with roast boar, the pasta ala bolognesa, and the carbonara, were all delicious. Amelia took time to help us download a map so we could see our tour path to see the sights in Fiorenza. We were overwhelmed with everyone's kindness and expert service. A must visit for anyone looking for a wonderful meal experience!

I came for dinner with my partner. The restaurant is a gem, with impeccable food quality, and the Fiorentina steak was probably one of the best I've ever eaten. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back.

Definitely the very best restaurant in Florence! I have been to other good restaurants including the famous Zá Zá but the Ristorante La Falterona surpassed all of them! Also, had the best tiramisu at La Falterona!!! Do not miss it!

Best dinner at Florence by far in terms of food. Again, by far. We have been at Za Za and other very good restaurants but this is the best in food. Could have a better decoration and be more modern, thats it.

The restaurant is very close to the Market and the Church of San Lorenzo. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The tiramisu was the best thing I've ever eaten! You can't miss this restaurant!

Confused welcome from the waiters, poor service, decent food quality. We had a reservation, but the two waiters who greeted us directed us to two opposite tables. We requested a pecorino cheese tasting and it was brought to us without any explanation, so we had to ask, and even they didn't know what was on the plate. We made up for it with the pici with pork and fennel ragù and the ones with artichokes and parmesan cream. Fair price.

31/05/2026: Excellent experience and ambience clouded by bad attitude. Strolling the side streets and minor avenues may often bring positive surprises. This will be one of them. An indeed nice spot away from the hustle and busy tourist tracks. Food is excellently well prepared. Not too much. Not too sparse. (Tosta crudo, risotto, formaggi) Served at the exact moment you are ready for it. Comprehensive - and impressive - winelist. So why just two stars for the ambience? Well this quiet evening, the owner (apparently) decided to be seated outside at the other table next to me. - He was noisy. Mainly on his phone. Watching late night shows while having his meal. Making phone calls. Informally having the staff at his table. Fine. OK. But smoking made it for me. I’d love to come back. Also with friends and family. With great pleasure. However this attitude needs to be adjusted.
