16/06/2025: This place was more expensive than other gelato places and it wasn’t as good as them. Serving portions are small. Taste has depth but so do all the gelato spots we tried in Florence.

13/07/2025: I stayed for a short vacation, and the room I was given was spacious, clean, and cool (it has air conditioning). Even though the B&B is close to the road, I slept wonderfully at night, without hearing a sound. The bathroom was fully equipped, clean, and provided with complimentary toiletries. In the morning, I'd never seen such a breakfast, which to call abundant is an understatement: in addition to the classic slices of bread, butter, and jam, there were also cured meats, cheeses, pickles, bruschetta (I loved the tuna one), tripe with tomato sauce, scrambled eggs, various pastries, and slices of cake. As for drinks, there was local red wine, cappuccino, coffee, and freshly squeezed juice. In short, it was more than just breakfast, it was a proper brunch! Upon my arrival, I also had lunch: typical Tuscan and other home-style cuisine, with generous portions. I absolutely fell in love with the Chianti beef stew. The place is very quiet, the service is fast and attentive, and the staff is incredibly kind and always ready to offer advice. Davide and Lello were truly kind, hospitable, and available to offer suggestions on places to visit or where to dine (it's only open for lunch). I'm so sad to have to go home, but if I ever have the chance to pass through these parts again (and I certainly won't miss the opportunity, since I'm already thinking about visiting other places in the area 😅), the B&B Osteria "Il Ceppo" will be a must-visit. ❤️

24/07/2025: Piombino is worth a visit not only for its beautiful seaside town, but also to visit Simone and Fabio at La Taverna. Their cuisine is always innovative and the fish is incredibly fresh.

24/07/2025: A welcoming restaurant with quality products. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with a smile by Gianna, her son Matteo, and his father Domenico. They seated us in the restaurant and explained their specialties. In addition to the uniqueness of the food, we were also impressed by the kindness and humanity of the owners. 23/07/2025: Beautiful little family run restaurant that my partner and I stumbled upon. We had the Bistecca alla Fiorentina which was exceptional, with some lovely bread, potatoes and wine to accompany. Great service and great value, highly recommend!

12/07/2025: Este lugar es fantástico. Mi esposa y yo fuimos a almorzar cerca del final del horario de cocina establecido, no dijeron nada y la cocina permaneció abierta. Cada bocado fue perfecto. Hay un aceite de oliva especial que puedes probar por un cargo adicional elaborado con los 27 árboles de la propiedad y los alrededores de la ciudad. ¡Vale la pena! No te pierdas este lugar, uno de los mejores de la zona.

22/07/2025: A restaurant with a trattoria feel. Very good food, from the fried polenta to the steak. Their roasted vegetables are a must-try. The service is especially noteworthy, as it's truly attentive and courteous.

18/07/2025: Piacevole sorpresa a due passi dalla A1, uscita Sesto Fiorentino. La qualità delle materie prime era ottima: abbiamo preso un primo di rigatoni cacio e pepe con baccalà molto buono. Inoltre abbiamo mangiato una frittura di pesce ottima, pesce fresco (gamberoni freschissimi) , non unta, sfiziosa. Anche i piatti di carne, cotta al momento sulla brace , erano molto invitanti - Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo - Consigliatissimo!

27/06/2025: Estamos realmente sorprendidos por las altas calificaciones. Desafortunadamente, esto se sentía como una trampa turística de libros de texto. La comida fue decepcionante en todos los ámbitos: ravioles demasiado salados y cocidos, y un risotto que se parecía al biryani más que a nada italiano. Tristemente, no pudimos encontrar una sola cualidad de redención en nuestra experiencia. No se recomienda.

24/07/2025: Professional and extremely kind. Very welcoming place. Excellent food. Pampering included: a welcome prosecco, appetizers to make the wait for your order more pleasant, and cantuccini served with your coffee. We had already been here a few years ago, not living in Viareggio, and we will return again in the future, because it was a pleasant confirmation.

19/07/2025: Good food, both local and things slightly different. Friendly and efficient service. Advise booking at at weekends, easy to do with whatsapp if your Italian isnt up to it.

06/07/2025: Ottima scelta per immergersi nella cucina maremmana autentica. Servizio impeccabile e pietanze (tutte) all'altezza delle precedenti recensioni. Non si può fare a meno di fare il giro degli antipasti, senza dimenticare la tartare. Buona la scelta di vini proposta. Conto "onesto", da ritornarci"....magari in una serata meno afosa! L'affascinante Magliano in Toscana, con il suo giro delle mura, sono una degna cornice all'esperienza.

21/07/2025: Made us wait 20 mins outside after telling us to wait a moment. Mushroom pasta had no taste. Ragu sauce was too watery. Beef was chewy with lots of fat and no taste. This was a tourist restaurant and I think the good reviews are from tourists who have not eaten at other restaurants. Far too expensive for the quality of food.

26/07/2025: Paseando por la noche lo vimos pero era un poco tarde y decidimos pasarnos al día siguiente. Nos ha encantado! Huíamos de sitios para turistas y nos ha encantado, además nos hemos quedado los últimos y ha salido el dueño a saludar y nos ha contado sus inicios y su historia! Ha sido una experiencia redonda! Hemos alimentado el cuerpo y el alma! Muchas gracias! Volveremos seguro!

24/07/2025: Atendidos por sus dueños, mamá papá e hijo están al mando del restaurante. La comída excelente. Comimos pastas caseras y una torta de ricotta excelente. Un bolichon típico para salir del bullicio de los turistas.
