07/06/2026: We stopped at Lo Scudo planning to have a cocktail and maybe an appetizer before moving on. Instead, we ended up staying for dinner, and we are glad we did. The aged Bistecca alla Fiorentina was outstanding. Great flavor, perfectly prepared, and exactly what you hope for when ordering a steak in Florence. My wife prefers her steak a little more well done, and the kitchen was happy to prepare a few slices separately for her. That kind of flexibility and attention to detail goes a long way. The cheese plate and bread were excellent, some of the best we have had during our time in Italy. The isole e olena Chianti recommendation paired perfectly with the steak and was exactly what we were looking for. 3 boys we used as a snack. A big reason we stayed was Mateo. He was welcoming from the start, knew the menu inside and out, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and genuine. There was never any pressure, just good recommendations and great service. What started as a quick stop for a drink turned into one of our favorite meals in Florence. Great food, great wine, and a local atmosphere that felt authentic. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend Lo Scudo.

19/05/2026: After a hike on Monte Croce, we stopped for an aperitif in this paradise. It's a truly fantastic place, well-kept and welcoming. The owner is kind in a way that's unfortunately rare nowadays! You can feel the love and passion she puts into her work in her words and see it in her eyes! We only had a plate of crostini and cheeses, but it was worth it! We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!

14/05/2026: A calm and relaxed atmosphere with a great view. The food is beautifully presented and tastes excellent. Furthermore, the service is very attentive and extremely polite.

07/05/2026: In short: you absolutely have to try this place. A little less in short: a magnificent experience. From the location, to the service, to the quality of the dishes, the wait between courses is transformed into anticipation, promptly fulfilled. Kudos to all the staff; you're our new go-to spot on our island vacation.

31/05/2026: Excellent lunch in terms of quality, quantity, and service. We've been there many times and it's never disappointed. The setting is also superb, in the heart of the Svizzera Pesciatina. Highly recommended! We've been back, and I can confirm everything above!

25/05/2026: We had a wonderful time at Sandrino's. The set menu included a porcini mushroom first course, a hare first course, followed by wild boar stew with olives and steak. Everything was wonderful.

09/06/2026: The owner speaks english and was super nice to us! He loves basketball so him and my boyfriend spoke about it while we were waiting for our pizza. We ordered take away pizza and it was great! Kudos for such a nice hospitality 👏🏻

30/05/2026: There's no single best pizza in Siena. We were there for three days and ate at Sirio's every day. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge of Italian cuisine with us and for going to so much trouble to ensure we had the perfect slice of pizza. It was simply fantastic! 07/05/2026: We have traveled to Florence for over 5 years staying months a time. We started going to Osteria Toscanella last year when it opened. THe food is excellent from appetizers to desserts. THe service is professional and knowledgeable as well as appropriately friendly. The owner is a gentleman and is knowledgeable about the wines. The wine selection is well sourced and every time we enjoy the suggestions the owner or waitress has made. The tables are decently spaced so you don't feel like you are in a cattle car and squeezed in next to someone. The room is pleasant and has some historical significance to the area. Every time we dine here - the food selection, preparation. plating and taste are all done with care and purpose. We enjoy every meal we have here. We can hear each other talk and don't have to yell to be heard. We hear other people's delight from table to table as their food arrives. It is on a human scale.

22/02/2026: Authentic Italian experience. We arrived just as they were going to close after lunch (weren’t aware of this custom) and when they found out we were Canadians, we were ushered to a table and treated like we were long lost relatives they hadn’t seen in years, incuding free shots of some flavorful Italian liqueurs. Son was the waiter, momma was hostess/kitchen help and poppa worked the kitchen. We were familia! No Italian on our part, no English on their part, they just used the Love to make it special. ❤️❤️

17/02/2026: Here in Brazil, there's a huge fan of this Trattoria. Besides the spectacular food, the reception and hospitality were indescribable. Everything was incredible!!!

31/05/2026: Stumbled upon it by chance! An incredible surprise. I'm not posting photos of the food because the experience of discovering what you'll eat on the spot is electrifying. Everything is truly delicious and the service impeccable! YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO GO! WELL DONE, all restaurants should be like this! You can see and taste the love you put into the food!

25/05/2026: Fantastic experience - implacable food, service and ambience. Family own and run restaurant, based on a menu that changes everyday based on the fish availability. Incredibly fresh and tasty.

01/06/2026: Delicious ice cream, especially the Mille e uma Notte! 3 scoops for 4 euros. Super friendly lady at the counter. I'll definitely be back.

01/06/2026: I don't know what all the hype is about! The ice cream was really nothing special, one of the most boring things we've had on our trip so far (and we've tried the more unusual flavors!). On top of that, it was by far (!) the smallest ice cream in the Piccolo size we've had, and it came in a barely edible, poorly made cone. We definitely wouldn't go back here!

15/05/2026: We stumbled upon it almost by chance and ate not just good, but excellent: mixed antipasto, rabbit pappardelle, and slow-cooked pork—everything spectacular!! We'll be back in two weeks before leaving Tuscany!

01/06/2026: After the spa! Osteria il Granaio! Excellent service, quality food, quiet atmosphere for a top-notch evening. For wine lovers, there's also a wine bar for aperitifs. It's worth it.
