What can I say other than "wonderful"... I come to Florence once or twice a year for work and "La Martinicca" is one of my favourite places... I have always eaten divinely and met wonderful people... my Florentine must for over ten years

A truly delightful and delicious experience in every way. A fresh clean interior with great art and cosy tables. Attentive but unobtrusive service and a really great menu. I enjoyed a superb beef carpaccio with real flavour and marbling and a delicate blanco ragu with fine tagliatelle. My partner a generous portion of ham and perfectly ripe melon and the house special spaghetti. A creamy tiramisu a portion of fresh strawberries and ice cream and a half litre of the house rosso for an extremely reasonable €38 each. Really great food and service in an authentic restaurant. Hope to return soon.

Excellent homemade food and a very pleasant experience. We were very satisfied with the restaurant — honest cooking, great taste, and a lovely atmosphere overall. We will gladly come back again.

Loved everything about this place - delightful staff, fantastic food, terrific value - and I even walked out with 2/3 of my bottle of wine to take back to the hotel Nearby? Go!!! Tell them Bill says hello! 😜🤗

We came here for the meat and came back the next day to try other dishes we had seen on the menu… lovely people, great food and super location, with space inside. Even the desserts are wonderful. Enjoy!

If in Florence DON'T miss this place. Food to die for and they're so accommodating. Not at all expensive but for me, a canny Scotsman, house wine, €15 a pop. So many places rip you off when it comes to wine that it's refreshing to see a place happy to serve a perfectly decent drop at half the price of its neighbors. Keep it up!

I past by on the day and decided to make a reservation for dinner. Was definitely a good choice! The food was excellent and they were so kind speaking Italian to me. I’m trying to learn the language and spoke slowly and probably not completely accurate but they had great patience and spoke back in Italian to me. Much appreciated!

12/05/2026: So good we had to go back twice. The food itself is fantastic, with outstanding dishes such as the pear raviolini, pici con ragu or the anchovies as a starter. This is just to name a few - every dish we had there was wonderful, as well as an extensive and very complete wine selection. The restaurant is very cozy and intimate, and the staff are truly lovely. It’s so good to find a restaurant like this in the most touristic part of Florence, we could not recommend it enough!
11/05/2026: Delicious and authentic Italian food served by friendly dedicated staff in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Very comfortable. The pear raviolinos in a light Parmesan cream sauce was amazing! Followed by a delicious filet with peppercorn sauce and buttery roasted fingerling potatoes. Finished with a perfect chocolate cake which was a small moist rich torte with fudge sauce and fresh whipped cream.
