17/07/2025: We were looking for an osteria, and we found it! When we went, I was worried it would be the usual tourist-friendly place. However, once inside, I realized it's absolutely authentic, fully reflecting what a trattoria should be: few frills and plenty of substance. So don't expect a refined atmosphere, but rather a warm, helpful staff. But let's get to the reason we're here: the food. Everything is simple, tasty, but not heavy. It feels like dinner at your aunt's, the one who cooks well. Simple dishes, the fruit of imagination and home-made care. The pici with mushrooms and sausage were excellent, the fried chicken and rabbit were good, and I'd say the fried zucchini flowers were fresh and fried well. Even the side dish, beans, and the dessert, tiramisu, reflect the spirit of the place. Well-made. In short, just steps from the city center squares, there's this corner of paradise for those who, like me, seek substance over appearance. The service is quick and attentive, with little touches that brought a pleasant smile to our faces. Ah, the bill. Honest. An appetizer, a first course, a second course, a side dish, dessert, house wine, and water: €68. It doesn't get much more honest than that.

It was a lovely discovery with flavors that were "unusual" from the norm, but that's exactly what you look for in a restaurant like this. The prices were in line with what we ate. Of course, it was expensive, but that's fair enough. A great discovery and an excellent restaurant, recommended if you want to save money and eat well.

25/07/2025: One of the last dinners in Marciano and it was great. Beautiful restaurant with friendly service, although the white wine was mistakenly replaced with red, but the food made up for it. Amazing pasta with truffles, great beef with olives and an excellent steak with truffles. Finally, delicious desserts. Everything was fantastic.

11/07/2025: We had a wonderful evening at this excellent restaurant in Florence. I highly recommend it. The lasagna was delicious, as was everything else, and the meat was tender and delicious! The welcome was perfect, and the staff very friendly.

02/08/2025: The entrance is a bit small, but there are only 30 seats inside. The tortellini was delicious, as was the pumpkin and spinach one. The spinach one comes with Parmesan cheese, and the cheese is delicious, too. If you don't eat pork, be careful with the lasagna or other ground meat dishes.

29/06/2025: Visited around June 10th. On vacation with relatives we decide to leave from Vinci and Anchiano, which we were visiting, to have lunch here given the reviews. It's past 1pm and I call to book for 9, no problem. We arrive and sit at a long table, the place is simple but welcoming and it's exactly what my American cousins ​​and I were looking for: not a tourist place, but a place to eat well among the locals. The food is excellent, the wine too and we really feel like we are at home. The highlight is the staff who, given that one of our guests was sick due to the heat, did everything they could to make us feel good. It was nice to chat with the staff and immerse ourselves in the daily life of the locals. Traditional cuisine, with some digressions and tasty. I enjoyed the porchetta with potatoes, excellent.

18/07/2025: I was looking for something new for dinner with my partner using Maps. After a few failed restaurants, we saw and called this one. Pleasantly surprised... I was very satisfied with everything. We'll be back! Well done. I'm giving the atmosphere 4 stars because we didn't see it all.

26/07/2025: We arrived about 50 minutes before opening to be first in line. We were greeted by a humble crew of sandwich masters. We had nice chat, and then watched prep through the window. The menu is straightforward. Each sandwich is crafted well. You order at the cashier, they give you a number, you wait outside for them to call your number, then you crunch your way through layers of sliced heaven. It’s a must try. We got La Rossa (Yes Chef approved) and Suicida (Spicy and savory). We will come back!

26/07/2025: Truly a great spot for authentic Florence sandwiches. Such great quality products and amazing portions. Even with long queue service was fast and attentive. Cost was also a welcome surprise at how cheap it was.

They seated us in the restaurant and explained their specialties. In addition to the uniqueness of the food, we were also impressed by the kindness and humanity of the owners. 23/07/2025: Beautiful little family run restaurant that my partner and I stumbled upon. We had the Bistecca alla Fiorentina which was exceptional, with some lovely bread, potatoes and wine to accompany. Great service and great value, highly recommend!
