Castello Banfi - Sala dei Grappoli

10/11/2025: This was our second stay at Il Borgo but it won't be the last. The staff, from top to bottom, are dedicated to their jobs and you can tell they love working there. The wait and kitchen staff at La Taverna and La Sala dei Grappoli are true professionals. We enjoyed one meal at each and both were the highlights of our visit. We will happily make reservations next spring when we have our annual spring trip to Toscana. Keep up the great work!
01/11/2025: Our stay at Castello Banfi was the one the best vacation experiences. The staff was excellent and just the best. We loved every minute of our stay at Castello Banfi. La Taverna was amazing, the food excellent. We will do everything we can to stay again.

OSTERIA DELL'ORCAGNA 100% RECOMANDED.
We will come back.

17/03/2026: My favorite place, welcoming, homey, and very familiar. The staff is extremely welcoming, professional, and kind. I went there for Women's Day, recommended by my friend who already knew and frequented the place. The food was truly excellent, with a varied menu featuring mostly local products and generous portions, leaving room for dessert (I also had the punch, which was excellent). I'm sure I'll be happy to try their dishes again.

01/03/2026: Excellent!! Fun restaurant, homely feeling, excellent local food, known as the restaurant of the Antonio Lupi family (a very famous home sanitary ware company) just come and eat.
Excellent service, very polite and nice. Excellent experience.
17/02/2026: The best Florentine steak in Tuscany, by far. Top restaurant, premium ingredients, excellent service. Leonardo is extremely knowledgeable in the presentation of the dishes and the ingredients used, and, what never hurts, very friendly. Excellent wine cellar.

The atmosphere is very nice, bright, and welcoming. The dishes are carefully prepared and beautifully presented. But I didn't understand the menu: macrobiotic, vegan cuisine...but then there are many fish dishes.
The service was disappointing. There was a long wait for the order to arrive, with no respect for the order of other customers. The dishes we ordered arrived in disarray (I got mine after everyone else at my table had already finished). We couldn't get coffee because it ran out (!!!).
02/04/2026: We ate "tagliatelle with vegan seitan ragout" and "cauliflower steak" and for dessert some cake with apricot compote and a vegan tiramisu - great!! And we got a very nice service, thanks a lot for this evening!

30/03/2026: Very good meal and a great overall experience. I had the Tagliata al pepe verde, rosmarino e bacche rosse, and it was excellent—perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor without being overcomplicated. Easily one of the better steaks I’ve had on this trip.
Tammy had the Tagliolini al Vino Nobile (pasta fatta a mano), and she enjoyed it. Handmade pasta paired with a wine-based sauce making it rich but well balanced.
29/03/2026: Truly exceptional pasta! I don't want to exaggerate, but I swear it was the best pici al ragù I've ever eaten in my life. Trust me: you absolutely have to come and eat here, you won't regret it.
The staff was kind and welcoming.
I didn't have time to take a photo because I was amazed, bite after bite!

06/04/2026: We stopped for lunch after several years, returning from Venice and as usual we did the right thing!!! The superlative food, the very kind staff and the very fast service, practically everything TOP!!!! We will definitely be back and we highly recommend it!!!!!
06/04/2026: We were on our way to Bergamo, we decided to take the highway for lunch, we looked online and headed here... amazing food, super friendly and kind staff, I've never eaten a tagliata like this, I wanted to cry!!!! I wanted to leave a €20 tip, but the waitress changed it and only took €10... what a shame, it would have been well deserved, it's hard to find staff like that!! I'll definitely be back, thanks.

08/04/2026: Good morning, we were there two months ago and everything was fine. After a positive experience in January, we booked for Easter lunch.
Unfortunately, it was a negative experience: exorbitant prices and questionable food.
The shank was frozen and poorly reheated (the inside was ice!!), the roast potatoes were dry and microwaved, and the other dishes were average: nothing special.
We had come with so much enthusiasm, but it's no longer recommended.

30/11/2025: I tried the porchetta, which was really good. The place is surrounded by greenery, so it's nice. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. It's a perfect place for away fans.
30/11/2025: Worth a visit for a pleasant and satisfying stop at the Valdichiana highway exit. Comfortable location, delicious Tuscan food, restaurant-quality, including the cantucci. Worth it.
