A delightful place with a lot of character. The owners were very kind and helpful, and made our lunch even more enjoyable. Delicious, typically Florentine food, excellent value. We'll definitely be back.

Trattoria Anita was my husband's and my favorite meal while traveling in Florence for 3 days. We made a reservation through Google just in case but it was not needed. It is a quiet but authentic place. Feels like a down-home, traditional Italian setting; not too fancy but not overly casual. The owner and his wife are very present and are walking around doing things constantly (the owner greeted us at the door, and his wife seated us; though we had a server she came to help us several times too), so you can feel that it is family-run! The service is friendly, helpful, and multi-lingual. They recommended us a good wine for our specific meal. The Florentine steak is a good price in relation to surrounding restaurants. My husband said the tiramisu was the best he'd ever had as soon as he tasted it. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who studied in Florence several years ago; we told the proprietor this and she was very transparent that they had indeed changed ownership within the last year, but that they try to live up the the reputation and philosophy of the previous owners, and she was very gracious of the compliment. You can tell they are proud of their place. Definitely recommend!

Trattoria Anita, in the center of Florence, was a truly excellent discovery: an affordable yet authentic place, where the food is excellent and the atmosphere is genuine. We first ordered burrata with truffle, followed by ravioli with lampredotto and salsa verde, which were exceptional, and pici with duck ragù, which were truly delicious. We washed it all down with a very pleasant glass of Montepulciano and finished it off with a homemade dessert: an irresistible chocolate brownie. The friendly and knowledgeable hosts made the experience even more special, offering us expert advice and even giving us a piece of truffle, along with excellent tips on where to find it. A place that combines quality, friendliness, and fair prices: highly recommended.
