Lo Scudo In Firenze

We stopped at Lo Scudo planning to have a cocktail and maybe an appetizer before moving on. Instead, we ended up staying for dinner, and we are glad we did. The aged Bistecca alla Fiorentina was outstanding. Great flavor, perfectly prepared, and exactly what you hope for when ordering a steak in Florence. My wife prefers her steak a little more well done, and the kitchen was happy to prepare a few slices separately for her. That kind of flexibility and attention to detail goes a long way. The cheese plate and bread were excellent, some of the best we have had during our time in Italy. The isole e olena Chianti recommendation paired perfectly with the steak and was exactly what we were looking for. 3 boys we used as a snack. A big reason we stayed was Mateo. He was welcoming from the start, knew the menu inside and out, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and genuine. There was never any pressure, just good recommendations and great service. What started as a quick stop for a drink turned into one of our favorite meals in Florence. Great food, great wine, and a local atmosphere that felt authentic. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend Lo Scudo.

I'm one of the few residents downtown. This restaurant evokes my grandmother's old cooking. I love lampredotto, lampredotto tortelli.

A very cozy restaurant with a large selection, delicious food, a great atmosphere, and very friendly service! We came for dinner and also had an appetizer. My girlfriend's pizza was in the oven a little too long, but still delicious; otherwise, everything was perfect! Leftovers were easily packed up and taken away. We felt very comfortable and will gladly come again!

First of all, the location is enchanting, with a stunning view of the Florence Cathedral. The staff is polite, helpful, and incredibly friendly! The food is delicious, with generous portions and a wide variety of choices. I absolutely recommend it!

If you're looking for a restaurant opposite the cathedral that's not too touristy, Scudo is what you're looking for. Excellent food and impeccable service. I'll definitely be back.

After walking through the streets of Florence, we stumbled upon Lo Scudo and decided this was where we needed to come back to have dinner. It definitely did not disappoint. We started with the house wine and had an array of pastas along with a perfectly cooked Florentine steak. Ended with a tiramisu and cappuccino. Would definitely recommend on your next trip to Florence! The service was also tremendous

We went in there two nights in a row. That's how good it was. First night I had bolognese second night I had diavola and it was amazing they had a playlist and on the second night they gave us free limoncellos and the new dessert menu which had amazing desserts and would recommend 🎂😋 the people were incredibly friendly. According to them, they did a family-owned business. So you want to help support the local businesses? Additionally, they were very upbeat and ready to lend a hand 👏 amazing atmosphere!

The service was excellent and fast. The food was delicious, and the menu was very practical. It's right next to the Duomo, so the location is very convenient. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
