08/07/2025: A Rising Star in Style and Flavor Recently refurbished with a stunning, modern interior, this restaurant nails both atmosphere and ambition. The chef — with Michelin-starred experience — delivers refined, creative dishes that wow without pretension. It doesn’t have a star yet, but it’s clearly on its way. We loved every moment. PS: don't get confused about the older reviews and pictures there - the restaurant is now at another level with degustación menu etc.

17/07/2025: Very delicious food and great, attentive service. We had a mixed sausage and cheese platter for starters and carpaccio and truffle pasta for the main course. We were very impressed!

30/06/2025: Beautiful picturesque landscape of Tuscany when dining on the terrazzo. Very reasonably priced. We ordered pasta Pici Cacio & Pepe, antipasti, Bottle of wine, bistecca alla Fiorentina, ( must try )roasted potatoes & spinach- then espresso; quaint town of Montecarlo. Food was delicious service was 🔝. Just a short drive from Lucca.

26/06/2025: Nach Montecarlo hat uns uns oft gezogen und von den 3 Restaurants war das die absolute Nummer 1. Das Feeling in der Gasse ist bei allen gleich, doch hier war es wie im Dorf. Geschnatter überall und ein Service, der sich zeigen kann. Und dann kam das Steak 🥰. Auf die Minute und wirklich lecker. Bei uns wehte auch noch eine laue Brise. Lasst euch von dieser in diesen Ort wehen und hier Halt zu machen ist garantiert nicht falsch. 💪

26/07/2025: Perfect evening outside on the terrace. The food was outstanding, I had the zucchini carpaccio with a tofu dressing (had to try), brilliant. I had the Trinka, Pork Chop with spinach and cannellini beans. I very rarely eat pork at a restaurant because it’s often overcooked but this was easily the best pork chop I’ve ever eaten. The service was very friendly and efficient we really enjoyed their professionalism and engagement. The wine suggestion was perfect. We were there last month but the delay is fine, as among the great meals we had in Tuscany this was the standout. We would have eaten there every night if we had stayed longer. Many thanks again. 26/07/2025: An excellent surprise in the center of Volterra. You enter into an elegant Tuscan-style setting. But the real surprise is on the palate: traditional dishes, beautifully reinterpreted, of excellent quality, and impeccable service. The wild boar dish... a sensory delight.

10/07/2025: The Florentine steak is delicious, juicy, and flavorful, but if you can't handle medium rare, insist on it being cooked medium. Even that comes medium rare. They recommend olive oil and black pepper on the side. You can also add salt to your liking. The standard portion size (1.3 kg) is recommended for two people. The price per kg is €45. It's best to make a reservation. I'd say the rosé and red wines are average or above. The ambiance is okay; don't expect luxury. Central location, attentive staff. Recommended.

14/06/2025: Wonderful piadineria with a very large and varied menu. Very fast service and very courteous staff. Excellent prices with excellent raw materials. The piadinas are very large, abundant and especially tasty. Outside the restaurant there are also some tables available. Highly recommended to enjoy a piadina of excellent quality.

24/07/2025: Since the change of management, the osteria has gained a lot of favor for me. The Tuscan menu is classic, but not overly so. I went for the giblet risotto, which was one of the best things I've eaten this year. The portions are satisfying and well (sometimes even overly so) seasoned (like the pici l'aglione—in bianco, without tomato—are delicious but a bit heavy for the portion and the amount of cheese). It may not be a bad thing for everyone, but it's a shame to struggle to finish a plate! Good wines and a delightful courtyard. Super fair prices. We're local, and it will be a go-to for our local dinners and lunches again.

26/07/2025: Reservamos una mesa en este hermoso restaurante por recomendación! Qué comida fantástica. Excelente servicio, Teenager tenía la hamburguesa que se veía y olía increíble, mi marido y yo teníamos la carne de res. Las comidas para adultos eran realmente deliciosas, hermosa carne de res cocinada a la perfección. El menú para niños era limitado pero delicioso. La elección del vino era extensa. ambiente en el jardín exterior era impresionante. Tristemente IT era nuestra última noche en esta zona, pero sin duda volveríamos cuando visite la zona la próxima vez! Gracias.

03/08/2025: Unfortunately, I have to give it 3 stars because we ordered a Chianina Florentine steak, and only when the bill arrived did we discover they'd brought us the Rubia Florentine steak. The two are priced at €14 per kilo, which isn't a small amount, yet even though the mistake wasn't ours, we still paid full price. And the meat wasn't even exceptional. However, the appetizer, side dishes, and dessert were very good, and they offered us two €10 vouchers to use in the future. This was appreciated, but it wasn't the meat we wanted.
