Located steps from Firenze Duomo La Strega Nocciola is a popular stop for both locals and tourists, the brick interior and magical name feeling older than it is while natural production methods insure quality. Decorated shabby-chic across a small footprint, pleasant servers scooping from metal cylinders 12h00 to 20h00 daily, traditional flavors dominate a list of perhaps two-dozen and whether one selects pure Fior de Panna or Pistachio textures are smooth containg restrained sweetness.

Had amazing sorbet from here - 3 flavour options dark chocolate, strawberry and something which started with a B and tasted lemony, great to have 3 vegan options

An absolute Gem! Its so hard to say what’s the best in Firenze because most of the foods you find here is delicious. But this Gelateria stood out! The blood orange flavor and strawberry flavor was to die for ! My companion had chocolate and it was so rich and yet light. It’s so hard to describe you really have to try!

The best gelato experience I’ve had by far and it was because I ordered the nocciola (hazelnut). Even though you’re feeling the smooth creamy texture of gelato you can’t help but taste the dynamic nuttiness of the hazlenuts, almost as if you’re eating a hazlenut chocolate bar. Truly magnificent and no wonder this is the namesake flavour. Wow!

31/03/2024: Restaurant discovered by chance that offers a remarkable experience of local cuisine through a menu presented on a blackboard, which adds a touch of originality and is very far from the usual sad tourist menus. The impeccable service and the excellent quality of the dishes impressed us so positively like the expense underestimated despite the care, highly recommended.

05/04/2024: The staff is not friendly, they serve less ice cream than in other ice cream shops. Now I understand why there is a queue for ice cream 30 meters from Neri e Figlio.
