As a Lunigiana native who "emigranted" to La Spezia, I can say that this place, resurrected from the past, really impressed me. This is the Lunigiana I'd like to see more often, ancient and modern at the same time. Traditional cuisine is respected and reinterpreted with some good, innovative ideas that I really liked. The platter is delicious, with lots of tastings and good-quality meat. Special praise for the service, with very kind and attentive young people, always with a smile! I also found the prices lower than expected, so everything was perfect 👍👍

The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff very kind, friendly, and sociable, qualities that made lunch even more enjoyable. The menu isn't extensive, but the dishes are thoughtful and flavorful. The portions may not be particularly generous, but the quality is evident. I had the truffle pasta: delicious and well-prepared, with a delicate and pleasant flavor. The desserts were very good, but the real highlight for me was the honey ice cream: simply AMAZING. The price of lunch was fair for the type of experience offered, although we probably initially expected to spend a little less. Winning 4 Ristoranti has certainly brought a lot of customers and notoriety to the restaurant, so I recommend booking well in advance (we booked about a month in advance). Consequently, the prices are now in line with demand and the experience offered. The only negative was the presence of many flies, which was understandable given the location surrounded by nature and therefore not directly the fault of the restaurant. However, at times it was quite annoying, so I would recommend finding a solution to make the experience even more pleasant. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, ideal for those looking for a quiet place to eat well and spend time with friends.

A place steeped in history, tradition, and love, and to celebrate my mom's birthday and anticipate my own, we couldn't have asked for a better one. A perfect family lunch in a unique location surrounded by nature and the scents of spring (my family and I went in April). The dishes served were simply an unforgettable culinary experience where you could savor local Lunigiana cuisine. The service and hospitality were impeccable. Furthermore, after lunch, we decided to follow the owner's advice and visit the village of Apella and its museums—everything was beautiful! Thanks again for a memorable family lunch :) We can't wait to return to Montagna Verde!

To say we ate wonderfully is an understatement! We also had Easter lunch here and were amazed by everything we ate, the quality and, above all, the authenticity of the dishes. Nothing predictable, everything is prepared by them with their own products, but above all, typical local dishes. Thanks to them, we enjoyed the three golds of Lunigiana: chestnut flour, olive oil, and chestnut and acacia honey. We loved literally everything, but beware! Their ice cream, especially the chestnut flour and honey ones, is addictive!!! The staff is super friendly, we especially interacted with Simone and Francesca, wonderful people, Simone in particular is great!!! Everything is produced by them, as they have a vegetable garden, a chestnut grove, herbs, and animals. Children love walking through their organic park, where they can see various animal species, a peacock with a beautiful tail, and various herbs. It has a large indoor room, two smaller ones upstairs, and a covered outdoor pagoda. It's a wonderful place to be everywhere. We fell in love with this place too, and I hope to return one day. You can also buy their products: chestnut flour, honey, liqueurs, chestnut biscuits, and much more. Go there, you won't regret it!

I went yesterday to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was a wonderful experience! We had the borage tagliatelle, excellent... and what about the Zeri lamb with potatoes cooked al testo? To finish, delicious gelato served on flavored crumbles and a wonderful chestnut grappa. We'll be back soon! It's worth the trip. We'll be back soon. Yesterday, as a surprise for my birthday, I had lunch at this enchanting place nestled in the middle of nature. The road ends here, and you find yourself next to a 13th-century tower, a well-camouflaged structure. The interior is pleasant, allowing you to see the panorama and feel close to the surrounding mountains. The dishes served by efficient and friendly staff bring you back to reality. I confess that every dish I tried was among the best I've ever tasted. Unfortunately, you can't enjoy them all, and you leave with the desire to return for more. I recommend you try it.
