10/07/2025: Siamo capitati in questo piccolo angolo di Puglia quasi per caso, l’ultimo giorno, di ritorno dalla Baia dei Turchi e con le valigie quasi pronte. Era tardi, la fame non era tantissima… ma la voglia di qualcosa di buono — e soprattutto di autenticamente pugliese — era tanta. Così abbiamo deciso di fermarci, e mai scelta fu più azzeccata! Il locale è piccolo ma accogliente, con tavoli e panche all’aperto che regalano quell’atmosfera semplice ma autentica che solo la Puglia sa dare. Ci ha subito colpito il profumo nell’aria: una cucina che stuzzica i sensi e fa venire l’acquolina. Abbiamo ordinato qualche stuzzichino, “giusto per non partire a stomaco vuoto” — e invece ci siamo ritrovati in un viaggio di sapori tra piatti gustosi, caserecci, sfiziosi… insomma, quelli che ti restano impressi nel cuore - e nel palato. Il tutto condito dalla gentilezza squisita dei proprietari, che sembrano accoglierti come a casa. Il prezzo? Assolutamente onesto, quasi incredibile rispetto alla qualità e al sapore di ciò che abbiamo mangiato. Un posto così non lo dimentichi facilmente. E se capitate da queste parti, non lasciatevelo scappare: anche solo per un assaggio, vale la sosta…e anche una deviazione!

When it came to the bill: 98 euros, or exactly 25 per person. 25? Yes, because they also added the tip themselves. A disappointing experience. Good sandwiches and a nice place too, but it's not enough to make me want to come back

21/08/2025: We visited Farmacia dei Sani in Ruffano and had a wonderful experience! The gourmet cuisine was truly surprising, with simple dishes but thoughtful and original pairings. We chose the six-course blind menu and were delighted with the surprise and quality of the dishes. The staff was very attentive and professional, and the service was fast and precise. The attached liquor store is also a great addition; I tried one of their liqueurs and I must say it was excellent! We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a high-quality culinary experience.

19/08/2025: Well done. Well done. You might not like it, as happens with strong personalities: compact menu, distinct flavors, clear choices. But you don't have to please everyone: the Cavallo Sgombroto (a reinterpretation of vitello tonnato) is a prime example. Spaghettoni with excellent anchovy sauce, superb ice cream stick... and so on. Incidentally, the village where you can stroll after dinner is delightful. Average €60 and worth every penny.

06/08/2025: Abbiamo cenato alla Salandra poche sere fa ed è stata una esperienza culinaria eccellente. Piatti tipici salentini, tutto prodotto in casa compresi i pomodori, i fichi della crostata. Gli antipasti buonissimi. Io ho provato la pasta con cime di rapa e vongole, spettacolare. Poi polpo fritto, frittura di paranza freschissima. E per finire i dolci come la torta al pistacchio e la crostata di fichi. Il locale è accogliente e il servizio familiare ed attento. Prezzi super giusti per la qualità del cibo: in 4 abbiamo speso €120. Amari offerti dalla casa. Consigliatissimo.

The service is impeccable, and the kindness and professionalism of the pizza chef and all the staff are the order of the day. Highly recommended!

14/08/2025: Incredible pizza, the best Neapolitan pizza I've ever had. The dough is remarkable: light, crispy, and easy to digest. You can choose from a variety of doughs: grains, burnt wheat, whole wheat, and mixed, and you can choose a higher or lower crust. The options range from classic to vegan (a round of applause), to gourmet options for special toppings, all while respecting the local ingredients. Everything was perfect, and the prices were fair. The dough is truly exceptional. Highly recommended.

01/07/2025: Very simple place, the appearance is that of a small tavern, with an informal atmosphere. I will start by saying that my experience was not the best, but I admit that it could have been influenced by the fact that the restaurant would be closed for holidays the next day. Let's start with the service, which unfortunately was not up to par, as the waitress seemed rather disoriented and not very prepared. We asked for a Neapolitan appetizer to start, some stick chips, pulled pork meatballs and a pizza to share, specifically asking for everything to be brought to us together. While the pizza arrived in about 15 minutes, for the rest we waited over half an hour, only after the first call were they finally served, probably due to an oversight by the kitchen. The pizza, however, deserves a positive mention: excellent dough, light and tasty, with the typical high crust in Neapolitan style. It's a shame that we couldn't end the dinner with the dessert I wanted, not available probably due to the imminent closure. I will definitely come back to give it a second chance, outside the pre-holiday period, because the cuisine deserves attention.
