Authentic environment with attention to detail, where you can breathe love for the cuisine and the place, which allows you to taste traditional but surprising dishes, which fascinates from the first moment for its originality, courtesy, elegance, goodness of food and.. last but not least… the hospitality of the owners! 15/03/2024: I just celebrated my 50th birthday, wonderful experience, excellent cuisine and guaranteed fun. I left everything to the owners, among other things exquisite and professional people, they took care of everything even the entertainment. to this point I have to say that the animation was super, all thanks to Giancarlo Occhilupo. I highly recommend keeping this place in mind.

18/03/2024: A beautiful experience regarding the food, a little less regarding the customer/restaurateur relationship of trust. I was offered a first course with fresh fish, I was told that a redfish (large, 1 kg by eye) would be enough which they showed us to make 5 first courses (2 adults and 3 children), I accepted thinking of paying a maximum of 20/22 euros, taking into account the price per kg, for each dish and instead they arrived together with the first TWO filleted scorpion fish (one large, one smaller) for a total cost of 140 euros for the first courses alone. It didn't seem right to me.

11/03/2024: Davvero molto buono, mi è piaciuto e c'è stata un ottimo pranzo. È stata un l'esperienza culinaria incredibile: eravamo in 5: abbiamo preso un antipasto misto ciascuno e in più io ho mangiato una selezione di tartare ottime. L'antipasto consisteva in dei piccoli tortini di gamberi e verdure; polpo alla catalana; piccoli souffle di patate; parmigiana di mare; gamberi in tempura ricoperti da noccioline e qualcos'altro che non ricordo. Poi io ho preso un piatto di spaghetti al nero di seppia con pomodorini e colatura di alici (davvero squisiti, uno dei migliori piatti di pasta che abbia mai mangiato), e come secondo piatto una tagliata di tonno scottata con rucola, pomodorini e grana (FENOMENALE). In più abbiamo preso un gelato alla vaniglia per rinfrescarci e direi anche quello anche se semplice comunque artigianale ed ottimo

02/04/2024: I often passed through Sant'Isidoro to reach the nearby Rivabella di Gallipoli where I have spent my summer holidays for years. I had noticed several times that there was Blu Mare fish inside its bay and I decided to have lunch with my family. It was a pleasant and pleasant surprise to taste the dishes we chose. All the fish eaten was very fresh and cooked in a simple way so as not to distort the taste. The owner revealed to us that she is the daughter of a family of fishermen for generations which allows her to manage the adjacent fish shop at the same time as the restaurant, from which the raw materials for the delicious dishes obviously come....... a winning combination! !!! The prices are absolutely average despite the high quality of the food. The view facing the sea is also very beautiful and in the summer it will be even more beautiful without the windows used in the winter. Absolutely worth trying.......see you soon Blu Mare fish!!!!

07/03/2024: The freshest seafood in Europe I'd say! The cold starter of jumbo prawns - gamberoni rossi - was a revelation. Simply out of this world, so sweet and juicy, and above all, fresh. I still dream about them! My friend from HongKong was in heaven when presented with the cold starter selection - all unbelievably fresh and delicious. The wine is outstanding to match the standard of the food. The service is friendly and very helpful. When we visited, Tiziano and his wife Rita who run the restaurant were at hand to advise us and their choices and friendliness made the visit pretty unforgettable. We'll be returning there every time we visit Brindisi. A complete gem of a family run restaurant with the best food ever!

03/03/2024: I was lucky enough to recently dine at Ristorante Da Umberto in Otranto, and boy, what a find! Already from the outside, the place invites you to enter, with that terrace that seems made especially for enjoying a summer evening in the company of a good fish dish. Service? Impeccable. They make you feel as if you were the only customer in the restaurant, with attention and attention to detail that are now rare to find. And then, the staff knows their stuff: they guide you in choosing the dishes with competence and passion, telling you the story behind each ingredient. You can tell they love what they do. But let's move on to the highlight of the evening: the food. I chose a seafood appetizer that was a poem to the palate, followed by a spaghetti with seafood that made me seriously think about moving to Otranto just to eat it every day. And the fish? Very fresh, cooked to perfection, with that flavor of the sea that makes you close your eyes and smile. I didn't think that a dinner could transform into an almost mystical experience, but Da Umberto succeeded. And then, having dinner under that pergola, with the evening breeze caressing you... guys, it was like living a dream. In conclusion, if you are in Otranto and are looking for a place to eat well, Da Umberto is the place for you. It's not just eating, it's having an experience that will stay with you. I can't wait to go back.

25/10/2023: I went at least 4 times in a week's holiday in September with my partner, fresh fish, excellent and delicious food, professional service and very attentive to gluten-free. In 20 years of celiac disease I have rarely found people so knowledgeable about gluten-free, from the waiter to the chef in a non-AIC restaurant... you can take the whole menu apart from the stuffed pasta, everything is excellent and fresh... I was also fully satisfied with the my partner who eats gluten. Really good compliments, if we return to the area we will certainly return to spoil some of their delicacies.
