Bar Alimentari Tabacchi Da Carlo In Otranto

A very warm welcome and friendly atmosphere in this bar. We had a generous mixed platter, which was excellent value for money. The sandwiches served also looked equally good. A great place to eat.

…during my trek!!…on the “Cammino del Salento” route!!…I stopped here!!…for lunch!!…and for the official passport stamp!!…it's the bar/grocery/tobacconist “da Carlo”!!…a historic place in Salento!!…located in Porto Badisco!!…and it's said to be officially recognized!!…as a Historic Heritage Site of Puglia!!…in a room behind the bar there's a delicatessen counter!!…I'd say well stocked!!…lots of typical cured meats!!…cheeses!!…pickles and so much more!!…so much more!!…I had the puccia with tomato and mozzarella!!…and to drink a nice cold beer!!…then I went to eat outside!!…in fact here there's also a nice little garden!!…with some tables!!…what can I say!!…with kind and helpful staff!!…it was a really pleasant break!!…here “da Carlo”!!…historic bar/grocery/tobacconist!!…in Porto Badisco!!…Salento da live!!…🌭🍺☀️🎉⬆️🇮🇹🎊🌊🌭🍺‼️

An old resource since at least the 1950s, only the bare minimum has been changed. Excellent bar and deli. Table service is available. Fantastically popular. I always return.

Located right in front of a beautiful cove where you can easily step out for a refreshing swim, it has outdoor seating with a lovely retro feel. Excellent for breakfast.

A must-see in the little gem of Porto Badisco, very welcoming and offering excellent, authentic aperitifs. They also sell Animamundi books and other merchandise, such as cute T-shirts.

Exceptional seaside bar and grocery store.

We found ourselves in this beautiful initiative that offers the old wooden games of the past in the villa in front of the legendary grocery store da Carlo

In Porto Badisco today we had a different kind of lunch. They've set up a self-service restaurant offering an incredible variety of typical Salento first courses, meat and fish main courses, vegetables, and cured meats and cheeses. Excellent value and a pleasant setting under a pergola with a wonderful sea view. The coffee is also delicious. I hope to return soon.

Lovely setting, friendly atmosphere, a nice view from the terrace of this unpretentious little establishment, perfect for a well-deserved break. We recommend it.
