A real guarantee. We had been here about eight years ago, and returning this year, we found the same excellent quality we remembered. We had a wonderful time: refined dishes, perfectly balanced in flavor, and truly delicious, prepared with great care. An experience that fully met our expectations. Highly recommended!

Farmacia dei Santi isn't just a restaurant, but a gastronomic experience crafted with intelligence, technique, and great respect for the local area. Every dish tells a story. You can sense a meticulous search for raw ingredients, enhanced without ever being overdone. The process is surprising: textures, temperatures, and contrasts are carefully considered, and each course manages to amaze without losing its balance. The service is attentive, knowledgeable, and never intrusive: each dish is explained with passion, making the experience even more engaging. This place is definitely worth a visit, and I would gladly return.

The 131km drive from Ruffano to Ostuni to get home was WORTH IT. We visited this magnificent location recommended by our friend, chef Paolo Lo Priore, who always told us when you're in the area, go to this osteria. We weren't actually in the area, but the journey was worth the experience. After a fantastic day on a boat with friends, we couldn't have ended it any better. Lovely people at the table, top atmosphere, and delicious food. I must say, it was an exceptional July 22nd, beyond our expectations (which were already high, having been recommended by a great master). Starting with the location, the staff were knowledgeable, kind, and friendly, and what can I say, the amazing pairings. Well done, Valentina. We'll be back. A special thanks to ROBERTO, because with his kindness, sweetness, cordiality, and charm, he brought smiles to our faces and made us feel at home. Well done everyone!! We finally managed to dine at La Farmacia dei Sani in Ruffano, and I must say it was a delightful confirmation. Our expectations were high, and they were fully met! We opted for the tasting menu and discovered refined, gastronomic cuisine rich in personality. The credit goes entirely to the young chef Valentina Rizzo and her dining room staff, who were able to explain and describe each dish with passion and expertise, making the experience even more engaging. Together, they are pursuing a bold, high-quality culinary project here in Southern Italy. In a land where certain types of innovative cuisine are not always understood, the fact that they have chosen to invest and remain here deserves even more praise. Every dish on the menu was a surprise, a perfect balance between Salento tradition and a contemporary vision. If we really wanted to add a personal touch, given that it was summer and the heat was so intense, we might have preferred a cooler dessert. Nonetheless, we were pleasantly surprised by the sweet and savory combination that concluded the menu: an original and well-executed offering. Clearly, meeting and satisfying everyone's tastes isn't easy, and overall, the experience was absolutely memorable. Our sincere compliments, we'll definitely be back!

We spent a month in the Salento region trying different restaurants and traditional dishes. For sure, the most memorable one would be the dinner we had at Farmacia dei Sani. Tucked in a small village, at a small piazza, it pushes the Salento flavors further. The combinations were very interesting - the combination of pork and cod was unexpected, yet pleasantly surprising. The desserts we tried were very balanced - just as I like them. :) We can't wait to be back!

Exceptional food in my opinion but questionable value for money

This place is magical thanks to its location in the old town of Ruffano. We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The dishes were delicious, carefully prepared, and full of flavor. You can tell the ingredients are high quality. The service was simply impeccable: welcoming, friendly, attentive, and professional from beginning to end. The entire team contributed to making this a very pleasant experience. We will gladly return and recommend this restaurant without hesitation!
