Very good food and quality. All dishes were cooked well. The only sore point is the very slow service and they don't usually bring bread to the table, only breadsticks and a mini focaccia to share, which is very strange for a region like Puglia.

Il Vico Del Gusto was the trojan horse of this trip. We ended up in here as what we had in mind was closed, we just came across as we walked and checked it out and decided to give it a try. This might have been the second meal we were so fond of. I would happily recommend this restaurant to everyone in the area and would definitely revisit if I get back in Lecce.

Luckily we found a table at the last minute for New Year's Eve dinner, and we were really lucky; excellent staff, they also prepared the evening ad hoc with hats and trumpets to celebrate the New Year, delicious menu made with care. Congratulations...

Rather inconspicuous but all the better restaurant. The dishes are prepared very, very tasty. The restaurant is located on a busy street. Even if you sit outside it never seems disturbing... Highly recommended

Excellent place, well arranged tables and a well placed and hospitable environment. Quick in bringing the courses and excellent service, the only flaw is the too close proximity between the end of the second course and the dessert, too cold to eat immediately. Good quality, especially if you choose the dishes of the day or advice from the waiters. The bitters and coffee are also good

Per l'ultima sera a Lecce abbiamo scelto questo elegante ristorante a pochi passi dalla Basilica di Santa Croce. Luci soffuse, tovagliato di classe, tavoli ben distanziati. Siamo rimasti sul pesce, con un "semplice", ma gustoso antipasto di cozze gratinate, affiancato da un perfetto sgombro al miele e zenzero con cicoriella croccante, cui abbiamo fatto seguire un eccellente risotto all'acqua di pomodoro, calamaro, cozze, clorofilla di prezzemolo e crema all'aglio nero. Pane e focaccia homemade, servizio corretto e un particolare "appoggio" al ragazzo che ci ha servito, essendo al primo giorno di lavoro, direi un buon inizio, Ecco, magari alla fine l'ambiente risulta un po' freddino, ma forse è solo una sensazione. In ogni caso, ottima cena con corretto rapporto qualita'/prezzo anche sui vini.

Dopo tantissimo tempo (cause di forza maggiore) sono riuscito a tornare in casa di Anna e Simone. Ho prenotato con largo anticipo per festeggiare, in data 19 novembre 2023, l'anniversario con la mia ragazza. Inutile sottolineare che tutto è andato per il meglio. Abbiamo ordinato 2 antipasti consistenti in Gambero rosa fritto e salsa agrodolce leggermente piccante + fiori di zucca scattati, con ripieno di cremoso al formaggio. Che dire? Portate che definire prelibatissime è dir poco. Successivamente abbiamo optato per due primi: paccheri al datterino giallo e spaghetto con battuto di gambero Gallipolino, aglio, olio e peperoncino leggero. Piatti di una bontà smisurata. Abbiamo bagnato il tutto con un ottimo rosato Negramaro. Per concludere in dolcezza ci siamo catapultati su un delicatissimo dessert. Prezzi adeguati e in perfetta simbiosi con il cibo ordinato. Cos'altro aggiungere? Dopo tanti anni, tornare da Simone, è tassativamente sinonimo di soddisfazione estrema. Anche perché l'accoglienza è sempre calorosa. Insomma, l'estasi del palato è assicurata, specie per chi vuole assaporare un po' di intimità in più. Evviva il Vico del Gusto.
