20/03/2024: I already knew SushiMaki from having gone there a couple of times. However, I hadn't been there for a few years so I took advantage of the opening in the new location to return. The place is very nice and maintains the style of the prexma one with a larger environment and I think also a few more tables. The setting is like if the previous one had remained, that would be a very positive thing for me. You choose from a classic menu and then the order is made using a tablet, which is also familiar to those who have had the chance to go to Japan and other Southeast Asian countries. The choice is definitely wide, but we already had an idea of ​​what we wanted to eat. We had a mixed tempura and then the ramen. The tempura is excellent and, respecting Japanese tradition, it is really light. The ramen is good, with a fair number of ingredients inside including the egg. The taste was not very intense, I think it was slightly more suited to local palates, but it is certainly a pleasant dish. We also tried the desserts, the mochi and an ice cream which we appreciated. What differentiates SushiMaki from other places? Definitely the owners and the staff in general: all very kind and ready to help you if you are new to Japanese cuisine. Another strong point is the quality of the raw materials, certainly of a high level. Then there is a factor that many other places don't have: the owner's wife, who also works in the place, is Japanese and you can hardly find a person who knows Japanese cuisine better than her. One final clarification: this is not an all-you-can-eat restaurant, also because there are no Japanese restaurants that are all-you-can-eat, and this is further confirmation that we are dealing with a real Japanese restaurant.

06/04/2024: Food not so superior to other places, slow service. Large and flashy environment, but too noisy. The restaurant recently expanded its seating and dining room, however the staff doesn't seem to keep up.

Il menù è ricco e per tutti i gusti, offre carne, pesce e anche sushi per questo è un ottima soluzione anche per le comitive più grandi. Il personale è sempre gentile e cordiale, Roberto, il sushimen, se pur giovanissimo è un mago nel suo campo, anche Marilena e Gianluca sono molto preparati e sempre pronti ad aiutare il cliente nelle scelte. 07/03/2024: I have been frequenting this restaurant since the beginning, I have always been a big fan of their philosophy and their cuisine. Over the years I have witnessed their high moments (very high) but alas also their lows. From my last experience (I hadn't been there for a few years) I had the impression of a restaurant looking for redemption with the desire to cling to those periods of undisputed glory! But none of this unfortunately. Minimal furnishings with soft lighting are not enough to mask the years of the location, which in my opinion would require a real (radical) renovation. Ok the scented courtesy napkin, the guys in the room do their best to make you feel like you are in a high quality restaurant, but unfortunately the substance is missing!!! And it's not just a factor of, do you eat well or do you eat badly, because after all the cuisine isn't bad, the ingredients are of good quality and the dishes are prepared well... nothing more is enough. I'm sorry to leave this review, considering that I have wonderful memories in this restaurant, but the comparison with past years is necessary and insurmountable for me.

15/10/2023: Consistently delicious food and good drinks. The ambience is very nice with good musical accompaniment. Unfortunately, the service is very careless when it comes to clearing the tables and even if you make eye contact they just look at the place but no one comes to clear them for a long time. Tip: Improve the service accordingly and then everything will be great.
