Impeccable service and a fair price.

19/04/2026: Got no idea how this place got amazing ratings. The quality is very average - the meat and the presentation were all disappointing. We got 1.2kg tomahawk and it was 40% bone and 20% pure fat, with very unappealing presentation. Potatoes were nice, the other vegetable side inedible. We literally ate bread with olive oil at the end of the meal, as we were hungry and had no faith in the restaurant being able to execute a meal. All meat here is imported from the US, New Zealand and Ireland, no local cuts at all. Wine list is decent. Service was ok. We were disappointed primarily by food quality.

03/05/2026: We ate here on Labor Day (a national holiday in Italy). Because Italians mainly celebrate this day with family and friends around lunchtime, we, along with two other tourist couples, were the only guests in this restaurant. That was a shame for the atmosphere. No Italian family coziness. Anyway, we had a delicious meal! The two waiters were attentive, spoke English, and did their job well (we did have to pour the wine ourselves from the bottle, but that didn't matter). It is a beautiful place with a lovely terrace as well for the warm summer evenings that are sure to come.

17/03/2026: Very elegant restaurant but we were disappointed by the food. Gracious service. I had pasta with lobster which was quite nice. The sauce ofolive oil and cherry tomato was light and bright. The tail had been loosened from the shell but it was difficult to get at any other meaty bits as no special implements were provided nor finger bowls. I expect diners here are too elegant to wrestle with their shellfish. My companion had grilled swordfish which was dry. The steaks were very thin, less than a centimetre thick. That’s likely a management decision which makes the work of the kitchen staff near impossible. We ordered two contorni. Grilled mixed vegetables were tough and dry for the most part. Partly the consequence of slicing courgettes and aubergines too thinly. Partly the decision to over-grill resulting in a good looking dish at the expense of tenderness. There was a bottle of olive provided that helped. No seasoning. The other dish of aubergine salad was tasty and well seasoned from capers but served stone cold straight from the fridge. It could have been improved by serving slightly chilled or at room temperature.

A relaxed atmosphere and attentive, smiling service, even accommodating requests for variations, like my amazing spaghetti with mussels in white sauce, with just 3 or 4 cherry tomatoes... exceptional! 😍 Thanks to all the staff, I'll take home so much pleasure!

06/01/2026: We went with a group of 26 friends to lunch at this delightful little restaurant in the heart of Otranto on January 3, 2026. We were welcomed by Mrs. Doriana with warmth and kindness. The food and price were excellent. I highly recommend it.
