18/01/2026: Went here for dinner, ordered à la carte, however there was also a set meal option. Loved the design of the restaurant, the staff were friendly and professional, knew English and Italian. The food was amazing, everything tasted very fresh and was worth the price which is towards the higher end. In all think it was definitely worth it and will be back! Also something I appreciated was the offering of a free appetizer and dessert as part of our dinner, both simple but taste was amazing!
17/01/2026: A beautiful venue with great refinement and atmosphere. Quiet, with the right background music, ideal for an evening of great conversation.
The service was impeccable, with the staff being very helpful.
As for the food, the sashimi was top-notch and hugely varied. Excellent tempura. The shrimp sushi was truly excellent, with three shrimp for the nigiri. I was a little disappointed with the wagyu. I ordered it as a carpaccio, which was too fatty for raw beef, and then a huge slice that wasn't very zen. I would have preferred it already cut into small strips. Overall, a good experience.

17/04/2026: Delicious fresh fish, seafood, and oysters. I thank the chef and the staff for gifting us a very memorable evening. It was a date night done right. This is our favorite seafood restaurant in Rome now.
09/04/2026: We enjoyed a beautiful meal at Matermatuta, seafood creatively conceived and artistically presented. Mine was octopus with mango/chili sauce; my wife's was red snapper/fish of the day.

Welcoming, modern venue.
Recommended.
16/10/2025: We stopped for a quick lunch, a very good experience. Fast service. The poke was very good; we tried the salmon and chicken! Nice atmosphere. Highly recommended!

15/04/2026: If you are staying near the Coliseum or if you need a restaurant nearby after a tour (just a few blocks away), you must visit this restaurant. It is your quintessential Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is romantic and rustic. It is not very large. The service is impeccable. Our waiter, Tarek, gave us many food and wine suggestions. The wine pairings were perfect with the different courses. The ingredients were fresh, menu creative, and the wine selection is extensive. We highly recommend.

14/04/2026: Excellent pizza, with a choice between "Roman" (shallow and crispy) and Neapolitan (thick and crusty) pizzas, and a wide variety of options. The variety of traditional Roman dishes is also good. The dessert menu is a bit short, but there's no shortage of serious desserts. Service is very fast, and the waiters are courteous and helpful. The atmosphere gets a one-star reduction due to the wobbly tables and peeling paint on the metal chairs. Overall, an excellent pizzeria with solid cooked options.

The service is attentive and friendly. The location is worthy of the restaurant. The price is fair for the overall experience.
The proof of the pudding is in the cleanliness and attention paid to the restrooms.
It's truly pleasant and relaxing to enjoy food here.

14/04/2026: Amazing Greek food and very tasty desserts. Also the wine we tried, originating from Crete, was very good.
04/04/2026: Great Greek Food! We were a little afraid as they had to seat us in the basement, but it was very comfortable for our noisy big family to enjoy the bit of privacy after a long day seeing the sites of Rome.
The chicken, pita, and potatoes were a big hit and especially with the kids. We argued over the best dipping sauces. You cant really go wrong.
An english version of the menu might have helped but it was kind of fun interpreting the language.

23/03/2026: First time for me and my friends trying Ethiopian food and we enjoyed it so much. Food was delicious, well prepared and fresh. Staff were nice and the restaurant itself was very authentic. I would totally recommend it!

07/04/2026: A truly disappointing experience. It was Easter Monday and we wanted to enjoy a quiet lunch, but we were served at an absurd speed: one course after another without even having time to breathe, let alone savor the dishes.
The worst part was the owner's behavior: rude and unprofessional. He practically forced us to add more to the appetizer, insisting that otherwise it would be "too little," clearly making us uncomfortable.
To make matters worse, as soon as we finished, the POS was brought directly to our table, with an attitude that clearly implied we needed to leave immediately.
An experience that had nothing to do with the conviviality and relaxation a restaurant should offer. I do not recommend it.

22/03/2026: A trattoria with excellent cuisine and fair prices. Try the incredibly light fried dishes, the spaghetti with clams, and the mouth-watering desserts. Everything is top-notch. Sabrina is a warm and welcoming hostess. We always return, never disappointed.
