Delicious fresh fish, seafood, and oysters. I thank the chef and the staff for gifting us a very memorable evening. It was a date night done right. This is our favorite seafood restaurant in Rome now.

We enjoyed a beautiful meal at Matermatuta, seafood creatively conceived and artistically presented. Mine was octopus with mango/chili sauce; my wife's was red snapper/fish of the day.

The food was delicious, but the portions were woefully inadequate. The service was subpar, with rushed explanations of the dishes and appetizers. We definitely got the impression that our waitress would have been better suited to fast food. The bill was far too high for the overall experience, leaving us feeling that the evening would have been much better spent elsewhere.

Good as always. I've been several times and can't find any flaws. There were four of us, each ordering two dishes (either a first and second course, or an appetizer and second course) and coffee. We also had a bottle of wine and two glasses of sparkling wine. Anyway, every dish was excellent! I'd say it's a guarantee.
