13/04/2025: A quiet and comfortable environment, it is a little small, so I recommend booking to make sure you get a seat. The staff were very helpful and friendly. As for the food, it really surprised me, very good and not overwhelming even though we took almost everything typical Calabrian food. They also have more classic foods, but if a place has something typical, why not try it. We will definitely return

30/03/2025: I went here for pizza on vacation. The offering here wasn't quite as big. I thought the pizza was very sparsely topped. A little more broccoli wouldn't have hurt. Otherwise okay. Service made an effort because of communication problems

21/03/2025: Ate ricotta and spinach ravioli with artichoke cream and bombolotti alla carbonara. Generous portions, delicious. Carbonara 10 and praise. Artichokes alla giudia perfect. Fast and impeccable service. Simply everything excellent. Prices more than fair.

13/04/2025: If you would like a taste of Italian Gelato that makes your pallor sing and your heart jump with joy, then you are at the right place!!!!! What's more, I was served the most delicious ice cream of my life by the owner and one of the most elegant Italians I've ever met! Grazie mille!

29/03/2025: Profondamente deluso...a partire dall'antipasto...sia i salumi che i formaggi non sapevano di niente...le "bombette " assaggiate di vari tipi,nessuna distinzione si sapore tra una e l'altra....alcune esposte nelle vaschette era visibilmente nere....servizio molto scarso...posate portate a spasso per il locale in mano...nessun vassoio, nessun canovaccio...non ci tornerò

18/02/2025: Se cercate un’esperienza autentica di cucina lucana a Roma, Il Gabbiano al Pigneto è il posto giusto! Il menù offre specialità come peperoni cruschi, caciocavallo impiccato e pesce fresco, il tutto preparato con ingredienti di qualità. L’atmosfera è accogliente e il personale gentile, rendendo ogni cena un vero piacere. Ottima anche la selezione di vini lucani. Perfetto per una serata intima o con amici. Consigliatissimo!

15/04/2025: Da quando ho scoperto questa fraschetta continuo a preferirla alle altre. Personale di sala simpatico e disponibile, bel locale e ottimo tutto, sia in qualità che abbondanza. Ieri però quella carbonara... anche se avete detto di no...ce semo capiti 😅vabbé dai, avete recuperato comunque con la simpatia, magari nel dubbio uno scappellotto al cuoco così non lo fa più 🤣 Alla prossima e grazie!

16/03/2025: We stopped for lunch... Young and helpful staff, excellent product quality... We took the fixed menu for 23 euros: Hot and cold appetizers, first or second course... We chose the first courses: ravioli stuffed with porchetta (delicious), cheese and pepper and homemade fettuccine with sauce... Water, house wine, 2 coffees + bitters... for the donuts we were full so they made us a bag to take away... A total of 50 euros, they offered us a first course... more than satisfied, we will be back...

12/04/2025: Ci sono andata più volte in questo posto, specie nell'area self service. Ma ultimamente le porzioni sono più piccole, i prezzi crescono un euro in più qua e due euro in più là. Ma oggi sono rimasta molto amareggiata il che mi ha rovinato il pranzo: eravamo soliti prendere il vino alla mescita mezzo litro. Ma oggi dicono che il vino alla mescita non c'è: solo calice o bottiglia intera. Per poi scoprire che il vino al calice era lo stesso della mescita di altre volte. Era meglio dire: " non serviamo più mezzo litro sfuso ma puoi prendere un solo bicchiere al prezzo di quello che era mezzo litro. Non mi piace essere trattato così, non è corretto, specie se sono un cliente abituale. Comunque le porzioni diventano sempre più scarse e i prezzi aumentano.

07/04/2025: sooo good, i had the margherosa pizza with potato wedges and flower nuggets and it was absolutely delicious, especially the nuggets. the portions are a bit small though, but if you order a something as a menu (so burger/pizza) with a side its more than enough !! the person who took our orders was very nice and patient ( i dont speak italien so i ordered in English and he was very accommodating), even though it was pretty busy and quite a few people wanted to order tldr: delicious food, fair prices for the quality of the food and nice workers !!! will definitely be eating there again :)

31/03/2025: This place is very cute! The staff is friendly and the sandwiches are very good, tasty and well structured. If I can suggest an improvement, I would add a few more vegetables to the menu as an accompaniment. The bill isn't cheap, but considering the quality of what I ate it's okay. Well done!

13/04/2025: Top quality traditional Italian cuisine. We ate a genuine carbonara and a tiramisu. Everything was delicious!

11/04/2025: We were looking for a place to eat a mid morning meal around 1030 and found this nice eatery a the corner of one of the side streets before the Vatican. They were still setting up but welcomed us in. We had the “Tris di bruschette” as a starter and a pizza, “Capricciosa”, for our main course. Delicious. Good prices and clean. Friendly staff. Highly recommend!!!!
