21/01/2026: We had dinner at this small, welcoming, and modern restaurant. The fish was very fresh. To start, I had a mix of beautifully presented raw fish, truly excellent and delicate. Next up were two seafood entrees: tonnarello allo scoglio (tonnarello with seafood) and gnocchi with courgette flowers and clams, both of which were also excellent. Finally, a house dessert: a profiterole and a delicious lemon sorbet to finish. The owner is truly kind and friendly, as is her staff. The place is very clean. Prices are reasonable. I recommend stopping here! 👈

The food is good, with no negative surprises, but the prices seem disproportionate to what's offered: it's not a rip-off, but it doesn't justify the price tag when there are nearby alternatives within the same budget that offer more in terms of quality and originality. Personal experience The service leaves a bit to be desired, slow and inattentive, which further lowers the overall standard despite the lovely ambiance. From what I remembered and what I'd been told, it used to be a great value, but now that charm seems to have faded: it's sufficient for an unpretentious dinner, but I wouldn't rush back. Practical advice • Opt for the classic Roman dishes, which are more satisfying. • Go if you're in a hurry or in the area, but shop around: you'll find more exciting options for the same price. All in all, a little too close to the mark to leave disappointed, but no wow factor.

13/01/2026: Roman cuisine, so delicious!! We booked at this restaurant last week and were very pleased with both the food and the service. The staff is also really friendly and professional. Everything was excellent, and the interior is spacious. It was crowded, so we weren't served at the same time, but the wait was worth it; the dishes were delicious, from the starters to the desserts. :) I'll definitely be back.

11/03/2026: You'll be welcomed into the dining room by the warmth of a real fireplace, the friendly owner, and the colorful eloquence of a parrot. This is no ordinary place, as is evident from the Umbrian-inspired menu, packed with original dishes. I'll long remember the quail eggs with truffles, but the rest of the dishes were also superb. Artisanal bread and an excellent value wine (also Umbrian) accompanied the meal.

13/03/2026: Amazing tasing menu. It was hard to figure out exactly where the restaurant was. We got dropped off by Uber and did not see the restaurant. You have to push a button on the wall so the security guard will open the metal gate.

04/04/2026: As a celiac patient, I was generally very pleasantly surprised by Rome. However, what the team at La Soffitta Renovatio delivered was on a whole other level. During my 3.5-day stay, I ate pizza five times, but the "Calzone Prosciutto Crudo" was absolutely incredible!! For dessert, there was a refrigerator full of gluten-free treats. I will definitely be back on my next visit to Rome! Unfortunately, I can't give more than five stars; I would have given more in a heartbeat!!! 100% recommendation (especially for celiac patients) Thank you so much for this wonderful pizza!

04/04/2026: The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and the food tasted good as well as the prices were reasonable. The owner who greeted us at the front was kind, and the other staff members were attentive despite being busy. However, one staff member was a bit puzzling. Even without a common language, one would expect them to understand greetings or responses, yet they didn't speak much. I made a request, but they just vaguely nodded and ultimately didn't fulfill it, so I ended up speaking to another staff member. It was a disappointing experience.

07/04/2026: We ate - on different days - breakfast, lunch and dinner - at Il Fico. The food was superb - particularly the zucchini flowers and the carbonara at dinner - and the service was incredible, led by the amazing and engaging Vito and his entire team. The other refreshing element is the fair and transparent pricing. You will come for the welcome, stay for the food and return for the atmosphere.

22/02/2026: Excellent pastry shop with a large air-conditioned pergola, an indoor dining area, and ample private parking. In addition to excellent pastries, they offer a wide selection of breakfast options. A local favorite and beyond. Highly recommended.
