The interior is very refined, the exterior a little less so... The entrance is dominated by the display counter, with a rich variety of artisanal breads and desserts. In my opinion, Paneria's strength lies in its attention to leavening. The pizza is thin and crunchy, as per Roman tradition, soft with a high crust, Neapolitan style, always light and highly digestible. The toppings are fresh and high-quality. It's a shame because the food is good and the waitresses are very nice, but they were clearly worried, as the owner himself conveyed. We were a group of young people, loud, yes, 20-year-olds, but all polite. We didn't break anything. We were practically kicked out of the place. He started off by saying, "Whoever has to pay, get in line!" and we were treated like plague victims. It's a real shame, but I think they changed management when it was called Italy Food; the owner was definitely nicer. I repeat, the bill was €1,400 on Tuesday evening.

22/03/2026: I'm sorry, but we're not there yet. I'll start by saying that the food was good, but spending 45 euros for a menu that was 90% vegetables seems excessive. Not to mention that between a mixed appetizer and the main course, we waited over 50 minutes. With the same amount of money in Vietnam, you can eat for 10-15 days, I tell you from experience. 20-25 euros maximum would have been a fair price, given what we ate.

We informed the waiter, who was polite and took them back to the kitchen. ​It took another 15 minutes for the new plates to arrive, but even the second time, the pasta wasn't fully cooked—it was just barely edible. We had to rush through the meal as we were catching a train. On a positive note, the staff was understanding and gave us a €10 discount as compensation for the trouble. Great service, but the kitchen definitely needs more consistency.

11/04/2026: We decided to celebrate my friend's birthday at this wonderful restaurant, as we both are steak lovers. The atmosphere was nice and so was the staff. We felt welcomed and were very satisfied with the service - Carmine was very attentive and friendly. We were introduced to the meat cuts of the day and picked the Australian cowboy t-bone steak, which was perfectly cooked medium rare! You can taste the excellent quality of the meat. We enjoyed our stay and the wonderful food. I would definitely come back to this place, if I'm in Rome.

10/04/2026: We had dinner here last night, which was our first night in Rome, and thoroughly enjoyed the carbonara (me) and the gnocchi special (my wife). We will be here for a week and liked it enough that we will probably try it once more before we leave. Definitely recommend.
