Excellent ice cream, served directly from the ice cream makers you can see working in the display case. What's more, the portions are generous, much more so than at other ice cream shops.

It was very good. The ice cream balls are a little creamier than the ice cream balls we buy in Sweden. The flavors are aromatic. You feel that it tastes like what you expect. And a little more. I ordered an ice cream cone MAXI and 4 balls. It cost about 80 sek and that included (if you wanted) whipped cream and a biscuit on top. The prices varied from 3.5 Euro to 7.5 Euro. Very good and affordable, I think.

A true artisanal gelato shop that stands out from the other tourist traps. Right in the Vatican area, near Castel Sant'Angelo. From the first moment I saw it, I was tempted to go in, and I wasn't disappointed—the flavors are fantastic and incredibly tasty.

Good gelato, crunchy wafer, but they should fill it with more chocolate. The choice of filling it with dark chocolate or pistachio is excellent.

Amazing experience. The best Gelato we had in Rome was here. The Gelato is mixed in machines at all times which keeps in super smooth and silky. The Wild berries flavour is really good, not synthetic at all - tastes just like real berries. The Crème della nona (classic cream) was also amazing, as well as the Zabaione. They're both classics and traditional Italian flavours. The atmosphere is nice - we sat down on a bench to eat. The portions are amazing. The photos are of 3 flavours in a cone. It might even be too much, but it was perfectly sweet so it didn't get overwhelming even after eating such a large quantity. We also got the lemon and it was really splendid - tasted very real and sour in the sorbet. I strongly recommend this place I think it's totally worth the money. There is also some small ice creams on a stick that looked splendid.

Authentic, High-Quality Gelato in an Upscale Setting I recently visited Gutilla Gelato and was incredibly impressed by the quality of the product. This is the real deal. Thanks to some research on Google, I discovered that much of the gelato sold in tourist areas is not authentic. You can usually tell by the bright colours and the way it is piled high in tubs. In contrast, authentic gelato is often stored in stainless steel containers with lids, and you can see the production areas within the shop. Atmosphere and Presentation The shop itself is clean, fantastically presented, and has a very upscale look. Beyond the gelato, there are many other desserts available for purchase; they all looked incredible and were presented with great care. The Gelato Experience The gelato is exceptional. I tried four different flavours, and every single one was delicious. The texture was incredibly smooth and creamy, and the sweetness was perfectly balanced. The only reason I have not given a full 5-star rating is due to the wait time. We waited for almost 15 minutes despite there being only a few people in front of us. Furthermore, they did not have my first two flavour choices available at the time. I understand this is likely a result of the gelato being prepared fresh on-site, but it was a slight disappointment nonetheless. Service and Staff The staff were all very friendly and maintained the professional tone of the shop. Despite the slow pace, the service was polite and welcoming. Final Verdict If you are looking for genuine, high-quality gelato in a beautiful environment, this is a fantastic choice. The authenticity of the product justifies the visit, even if you have to be patient with the service speed.
