17/10/2025: I went with a friend and we ordered several dishes to share. Everything was good, with pleasant flavors and a good price. The place is simple, but the staff was friendly and the service was quick. We would gladly return.

12/10/2025: The Chinese food was delicious, with fresh, well-prepared ingredients, all cooked to perfection. We tried several dishes to share, and they all tasted authentic, especially the rice and almond chicken. The service was excellent, with the staff very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant, ideal for a relaxed meal. I found the prices reasonable for the quality and quantity of the service. Overall, it was a very positive experience. I will be back soon.

03/10/2025: I rarely write reviews—good or bad—as I’ve always felt that my single experience may not reflect an establishment as a whole. But after spending three wonderful nights at Hotel Locarno with my wife and 3-year-old son, I feel certain that what we experienced is not unique to us, but the true spirit of this hotel. To begin with, the property itself is stunning. The rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully designed, the breakfast was delicious and satisfying for all of us (including our little one), and the evening aperitivi were always a delight. Every aspect of the amenities and atmosphere was exceptional. Then there is the location - to us, the location could not be beat. What truly set Hotel Locarno apart, however, was the people. From the playful and warm Davide, to the kind and gracious Maurizio, to the cheerful and informative Ricardo—every single person we met radiated genuine care and kindness. The professionalism, warmth, and personal attention we received were unlike anything we’ve experienced in other hotels, whether in the US or abroad. Traveling with a lively 3-year-old can sometimes be a challenge, yet the staff treated him with patience, joy, and understanding. It’s one thing to extend kindness to adults who know the unspoken etiquette of a place, but to welcome a young child with such generosity and grace is something truly rare—and deeply appreciated. We will absolutely be returning to Hotel Locarno and hope to make it our home base for longer stays in the future. Until then, we will fondly remember this beautiful hotel and the remarkable people who made our time there so special.

01/10/2025: This is a great little gem of a hotel for you to consider when staying in Rome. It's celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2025, so expect the quirky charm of an older establishment. The staff is attentive and courteous, and English isn't a problem if your Italian isn't up to par. Our corner room was large, as well as the bathroom. The claw foot tub was cool, but it made the shower less than luxurious (and a lot of water on the floor). Charming bar/restaurant seating area with a retractable roof. Located a few blocks from the Spanish Steps.

03/07/2025: I absolutely loved this place, definitely one of my favorite spots in Rome, lol. Their prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

18/06/2025: As of June 25, it is very cheap and if you want to feel the local atmosphere of a bar, I highly recommend it. The sandwiches/coffee/bread are all delicious. I went in by chance and had a very pleasant experience.

11/10/2025: This place is supposedly been in business since 1915 and I can see why. The internet says to avoid places with long lines and has their gelato kept inside traditional containers with the lids covered, and this place checks both boxes. I was feeling very fruit-minded so I got a piccolo size of kiwi and passion fruit; the real fruit flavors are for real amplified by the creamy sweetness. My only complaint is that I got way more passion fruit than kiwi. I would definitely come back for gelato again.

07/10/2025: While searching for vegan restaurants, we found this place on HappyCow. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the staff is relaxed and friendly, making our stay very pleasant. The food is incredibly good, and we highly recommend the carbonara and tiramisu ❤️

06/10/2025: Highly recommend! Generous portions and delicious flavours. We tried the carbonara pasta, creamy mushroom pasta, sliced seitan, potatoes and speck pizza, and tiramisu - everything was excellent! We’d definitely come back next time we’re in Rome.

29/09/2025: A magical place at the foot of Mount Gennaro: spend a relaxing evening enjoying delicious dishes in a friendly and informal atmosphere. Michela's kindness and attentiveness are appreciated, never intrusive but always attentive, as is chef Gianluca's expertise in selecting ingredients and cooking meats over the fireplace. The views of the Tiber Valley and the capital in the distance frame the tables. A highly recommended destination both for a day trip and for grabbing a fabulous gourmet sandwich on the go.

04/10/2025: We drank cocktails here (the worst of our lives) and smoked a shisha, which was okay. The ambiance is rather cold and uninspiring, but the lounge chairs on the roof terrace are very comfortable. The service was friendly, and the restrooms were mediocre.
