07/12/2025: It was the best gelato I had in Rome!! 3 flavors for 4.5€ I think I ordered the one named after the shop, strawberry, and pistachio. They gave me a free cookie, and I could choose between whipped cream, chocolate, or white chocolate, so I went with chocolate. The flavor was rich, and the portion was generous. The chocolate drizzle was delicious and crunchy. Even though I only spoke basic English, the staff were very kind. I highly recommend it! If it were closer to me, I'd go there more often...I'll definitely go again if I visit Rome again.

Everything is natural, but there are also new flavors, carefully crafted yet still natural, without any added powders or other strange ingredients. For those like me who grew up with the natural gelato my father made, it was like being a child again, with authentic, genuine flavors. Haven't been yet? What are you waiting for? Once you try it, you'll never leave! And it's not just a place to grab a gelato and run away, it's also a meeting place, a place where kindness and politeness reign supreme, where you can joke around and, if your work situation allows, even have a chat. 21/11/2025: One of the best restaurants in Rome. Staff was so welcoming and truly cared about serving us. Truly felt at home for our meal. Food itself was also amazing and so fresh.

17/11/2025: We had a wonderful experience at La Vecchia Locanda today. For starters, I ordered the octopus with potatoes, and for the mains we had the ossobuco and a fillet mignon with wild mushroom sauce. The food was absolutely delicious — everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavour. What made our visit truly special, however, was the service. Our waiter was warm, friendly and genuinely attentive. He answered all our questions about the menu, shared a few laughs with us, and struck the perfect balance between being present when needed and never intrusive. He always made sure we had everything we needed and was right there whenever we wanted to ask for something or place another order. Today is my wife’s birthday, and she was surprised with a little celebratory “birthday cake” with a candle. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture, and it meant a lot to us. We had a fantastic evening and left with the best impressions. Highly recommended — a truly charming restaurant with excellent food and outstanding service. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

09/12/2025: The food was good, but the service was unacceptable. After the appetizers and starters, they completely forgot about the main courses, which, after several reminders, took over an hour to arrive. The waiters were completely uninterested. A complete lack of professionalism. After the experience, I don't think I'll return, and I honestly wouldn't recommend it.

08/12/2025: At this restaurant, you'll find both tradition and innovation. The food is excellent, authentic, and high-quality. The staff is courteous and eager to please. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. The value for money is truly amazing. I've rarely found a restaurant that completely satisfies me. The only downside is a bit of a wait between the appetizer and the main course, but that's quickly forgotten thanks to the quality of the dishes.

02/11/2025: The place is cool and cozy. My friend and I were looking for some treats after dinner. The place was not full and still open for a while, which was perfect for us! When we came in there was a woman, not sure if the owner, but gave us very unwelcoming looks. Since it was one of the few places open, we didn't pay much attention but her vibe stayed unwelcoming. However, the positive side of it was that the young man at the bar, not sure his name, was very kind and helpful to us. Even though we didn't speak Italian, only English and Spanish, he was very polite and had lots of patience for us. He wasn't judgmental about our small order for coffee and our inability to communicate in Italian. He spoke well enough English to communicate and he sure made a huge difference for us at that place. I hope he is treated with respect as well, he was such a savior and the last kind person we encountered at a food place on our last night in Italy. The coffee and pastry were great, had the woman's vibes been different, we would've probably consumed more and stayed longer.

13/11/2025: Finally, after four years in Civitavecchia, I've found a truly great place for an aperitivo! The options are great, and the food is truly excellent. Two of us arrived and ordered a charcuterie board, eight cicchetti (small bowls with generously portioned appetizers!), and two spritzes: in total, we spent €30 plus service. We were so satisfied that, after leaving, we decided to go back for dinner! Dinner was also a true explosion of flavors: a first course, an off-menu second course, a cicchetti, and a water—all for €40 including service. The generous portions and the quality of the dishes won us over, so much so that we barely managed to finish everything, still full from the aperitivo. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive: they passionately explain every detail of the dishes, and you can sense how much they care about their customers. Kudos also to the owner, who is truly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it: a truly worthwhile venue that will definitely become a go-to for us. We didn't take photos because we just wanted to enjoy the moment... but next time we'll definitely take some! Well done, guys, keep it up! 👏

18/12/2025: I've been to this place, it was delicious! I was greeted by a bald guy who was truly welcoming and kind. He showed me to my table, showed me the menu, and recommended a few dishes, which I ultimately chose. I can say I made a wonderful discovery about the food, and best of all, he paired it with a bottle of wine that perfectly complemented all the dishes my partner and I ordered! I recommend this place to anyone who finds themselves in the center of Rome!

01/12/2025: Dinner on Saturday for a birthday. We arrived at 8:15, and the first course, a Eurospin-style focaccia reheated in the microwave, arrived after almost an hour. For the tapas, we had to wait a good half hour. Not even an explanation or an apology. A bottle of water was €4. We won't be returning.

07/12/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant. The pasta dishes were very good. The only slight downside was that it was noisy.

07/12/2025: We've been coming here for several years and bringing friends, but this weekend the quality/price ratio wasn't right. The food was salty and the prices were high (the meatballs were overpriced). I hope it was just an isolated incident.

19/10/2025: A well-kept, quiet place I've been to before, and it doesn't disappoint. The staff is friendly, fast, and organized. The fried parmigiana is excellent, the soft burger, perhaps a little overcooked, and finally, a very tender salmon steak. My only complaint is the salad, with too many slightly unbalanced ingredients that risk overpowering the fish. For the rest, see you soon.

18/10/2025: This is my third or fourth time eating here. I love it! Quality food, friendly and attentive staff. I always recommend it when I want to make a good impression on people I know. Highly recommended
