Pure, simple but genius ice cream/gelato. Worth the wait.

The best ice cream I've ever had in Rome and at a really great price ♥️ My only comment is that it would be nice if the names of the flavors were also given in English and maybe visible a little more from a distance, because if you are standing in a long queue, you could use this time to think about the choice, but you won't. yes, because you can't see anything :P

Good but there are much better options such as gelateria del teatro. The cone here is the cheap tasting kind.

Great ice cream and toppings. Every time I’m in Rome we go there. Only gave 4 stars because the attendant was very rude to me and my wife (I had just asked if they had Pistachio flavor, totally unnecessary) Maybe someone should look at it.

Very economical prices, large quantities and a layer of crunchy chocolate on top of the balls make this place one of the best in Rome to eat ice cream. The creaminess of the ice cream is from another world... well, it is unique to Rome :). 100% recommended.

I went there a few days ago and we just wanted to eat some ice cream so we asked a local and they said go to frigidarium so we did and my son has a severe nut allergy and they completely understood and they used fresh scoops. Even though the wait was long it was probably the best ice cream I've ever had.

Very good gelato, just off Piazza Navona. Very popular, so expect long queues (even in November), but well worth the wait.

It’s a funny old world. There we were newly arrived in Rome, surrounded by living signs of ancient history that gave us so much today. Even Monty Python posed on what have the Romans ever done for us - all right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us? Brought peace? So luggage deposited our friends got a reply text from their daughter in Scotland essentially ya gotta get to this place as it’s the best ice cream ever and they coat the ice cream in choccy. Dutiful doting parents did as instructed. Enter google (I guess) and location found I think he said pinned, so off we went past the tomb of the unknown solider - Tomba del Milite Ignoto - past the statue of the goddess Roma, the Basilica Ulpia, Trajan’s Column, Basilica Papale di Santa Marie just to name a few for ice cream. Yeesh. So the ice cream was very good indeed and fairly priced but the servings weren’t over generous. There are no seats and you literally stand in a small space for service. I always have a cone never a tub. I mean a tub? I can’t eat a tub. A tub usually brings a plastic spoon and our planet could forgo more plastic. The chocolate coating was thin and slowed melting and was tasty. It wasn’t the best ice cream ever. But we did eat our weight in ice cream when we were in Rome. Now where did we put those ancient monuments?
